hello! we had learning journeys today! went to sungei buloh and Singapore Discovery Centre.
went sungei buloh before in p6.. haha. mostly did the same stuff except i paid more attention this time. today was quite fun and eventful! here's how the day started.
morning. i left home a little later than normal and thought i would be late. but no! there wasn't any morning assembly today.
so i was relieved and like yay! i won't get booked.
walked and saw some GEPers going into the KS chee but i wasn't sure where to go, so went all the way to class to find no one in there so i went all the way back to the KS chee.
then saw everyone there so ppl were like taking attendance and i was told to sit at the back.
then waited and after a while i decided to go to the front of the line to join my friends as i was seriously bored by myself at the back.
yeah. then we boarded the bus and started our journey.
i went supermarket shopping ytd last night and bought a lot a lot of yummy snacks! :D
brought a few today only, cos i wanted to save them for tomorrow.
anyways, there's seaweed, dried apricots, want want rice crackers, lays barbecue chips, caramellised biscuits, lakerol and thousand layer cheese cookies. YUMMY!
i sat with kay yi in the bus in front of sher and chen yan.
i learnt two new games today! mm ji ji mm ji and black sheep white sheep.
didn't really play mm ji ji mm ji, played black sheep white sheep with kay yi.
black sheep white sheep is the funnest game ever! haha. sometimes make mistakes and laugh like siao hahaha FUN!
huiqun also brought her camera and camwhored.

yeah. then the bus trip was quite fun la and the chairs were push-backable.
saw ppl listening to their mp3s and stuff and i wanted my ipod too!
the bus passed by this industrial area which i had no idea where that was, then we reached the familiar sungei buloh nature reserve.
the place was the same as last time haha.
i guess it would be larh.
we whipped out our worksheets and writing materials and went to the place with information boards telling us about the animals and blah blah blah first. took down notes and tried to find the answers.
then after that went along the trail for the boardwalk and walked across this shaky made-to-look-like-wooden plastic plank from the land part to the forest.
then yeah, walked and walked and walked and walked and you noe the rest of the story.
i was practically melting lor, super humid.
the walk was still ok la, learnt some stuff about the nature there.
yepyep. haha.. watched the video, it was quite well taken.
then we continued the walk then sometime later went to the cafeteria. wanted to buy ice-cream but no time and wanted to save appetite for lunch oso.
returned to school at 11+.
changed into our culottes then went to far east for chicken rice.
it was drizzling by the time we walked out of the school and on the way met siling who was carrying an umbrella. so we borrowed it from her.
haha then we walked to the bus stop and at the bus stop, sher meen was fiddling with the umbrella and the handle BROKE! hahaha. the umbrella was kind of spoilt at first, so the metal thing was bendable and after bending a few times, it actually broke.
then we took the bus to far east and alighted.
decided to eat the chicken rice there. i knew it was somewhere upstairs but i didn't know where exactly it was located. asked kay yi and luckily she kind of knew.
so we chionged upstairs for dunnowat reason.
reached the 5th level but dunno where it was so we went around finding it.
kay yi: i dunno where it is it's in some ulu ulu corner.
me: let's go to all the ulu ulu corners to find.
so we went about looking for it. spotted LONDON WEIGHT MANAGEMENT along the way. we finally found it!
went in and me, sher and cy ordered shao ji fan and ke ordered the steamed version. me and ke ordered barley and chrysanthemum drinks respectively. i ate until super clean okay! ate up all the cucumber and chicken and rice. drank some soup too, but ke and cy says that it has a lot of msg. really? i never knew that. i always drink chicken rice soup. haha. aiya heck la just drink. the chicken rice they give very cute, it's not like the normal type, they give the rice in one plate and the chicken and cucumber and sauce in another plate. everyone else ate the chicken from that plate and the rice from that plate that it was on, but i dumped all the chicken and cucumber and sauce on top of the rice and ate. at first i thought the rice like very little liddat but at the end when i was finishing up the last morsel, i was like super damn full already. haha. cy gobbled up her food damn fast and said the rice wasn't enough. even though she said the rice quite a lot at first. haha opposite. yeah. then we got the bill and the uncle told us the chicken rice was $4! the drink was $1.20 each. haha the suspecting peeps think that he ripped us off of 50 cents, cos it supposedly costs $3.50.
haha i just realised this post is getting quite long.
then after lunch we went window shopping. wheee! fun. went to see a few shops and sher loves GUYS clothes. again. as usual -.-
i love shopping (:
then we went to the 2nd level to buy food for the discovery centre trip afterwards.
there was this temperory stalls thing with like old '60s food, portugese egg tarts, tea leaf eggs, kueh, sausages and like this disgusting fried frozen food in yellow oil stuff which i once tried, as well as stalls selling keychains and pens and random cute stuff.
looked around and saw the furry big ball on top of the pen pens. so cute! they cost $2.90 each, still ok. but the ink wasn't very smooth, it's more just for show. they have it in many colours, like light blue, light pink, hot pink, light brown, purple and black. so nice lor.. but i didn't buy in the end cos i wouldn't really use it so dun waste money la.
me sher and ke bought kueh from the kueh stall, 4 pieces for $2.
i doubted the quality of it at first, but when i ate it, it was really good! yummy and fairly cheap.
i bought the kueh dadar, lapis sagu (colourful layers one), kueh koshi and the yellow tapioca triangular kueh with grated coconut.
after that it was pretty much time to go back to school so that's what we did.
upon reaching school, we rushed to class and took our bags and went to the foyer to wait for the bus. i ate the kueh dadar and yellow triangular kueh on the bus. went there and watched the sharks 3D movie. we were handed the proper 3D specs to wear cos the ones that we were asked to make TOTALLY DID NOT WORK. the movie lasted 45 minutes and it was SUPER boring. it just introduces the different kind of sharks and all you see are fishes and jellyfish and that turtle which was supposed to be "showing us around", throughout the whole thing. well, sharks are becoming extinct soon because of man's sharks fin eating habits, SO STOP EATING SHARKS FIN! or else the eco system will be destroyed. i think a few 00,000 sharks are killed for their fins DAILY. we bought candy floss to eat during the movie, it was BIG and BLUE and in a PLASTIC PACKET. and it costed $1.50. so me sher and ke shared. candy floss is sugar and colouring and nothing else. my teeth were damn rough after eating lor, the sugar was stuck in my molars. it was clumped together and didn't even melt in my mouth. i had to crunch it and chew it and bite it. ok not that bad la. didn't feel like eating after that so gave the rest to the others. haha i think we all felt sick after eating the candy floss. we went for a tour and stuff and blah and then did boring stuff -.-
singapore discovery centre was so not fun, worse than sungei buloh.
then went back to school to be released.
sat next to ke again on the bus and we played black sheep white sheep.
i wanted to sleep because i was the tiredess ever but didn't sleep in the end.
then we played this game, it goes like this:
1. take a book and place it on your lap.
2. flip randomly to a page and point to one word.
3. say that word, eg. pull
4. repeat steps 1 and 2 on a different page.
5. repeat step 3 and add on the word found on step 4, eg. pull Emily
6. repeat steps 1-5 until the sentence gets really long and stop when you point to the same word as you did. eg. ali like to eat sweets candy chocolates and candy.
and you must keep saying the sentence again and again and it gets really hard to remember and i started laughing.
so here's what we came up with in the end:

it might seem simple and easy to say here but it was quite tought having to say it so many times just now.
i wrote it down on a piece of paper to see if we can still remember it tomorrow!
went back to school and waited for my mum at the foyer. i was so tired i just sat there and fell asleep. like really FELL ASLEEP. super tired lar slept late last night.
i woke up and saw something that looked like my mum's car so i walked there to realise that my mum and sister were already in the car and they had been there some time ago. we went home and i slacked as usual (:
uhh yeah gtg now promised that i'll sleep early.
