No Frills, No Stings Attached

hey! sorry for not posting yesterday..
i have broken my one post per day rule.. haha. really wanted to post but not much time..
well i shall update on friday's dinner now.
we ended up going to this mini steamboat place at novena..
it was really good. u could order individual dishes like meatballs or stuff and choose your own to put inside the steamboat. yummy and easy to eat.
we ordered scallops which were like 5 pcs for $10.
we also ate delicious fish glue (fish meat), fish balls, beefballs which tasted super cheesy and were slightly yellow at the edges; that makes me wonder if they did add cheese into the beefballs, scallops, veggies, shui jiaos, and maybe some other stuff i can't remember for the steamboat thing as well as some shanghai red tofu (ketchup explains the colour) and oyster omelette, some cabbage in nice sauce with yucky strands of ginger (why did they have to add that?!) and rice.. HAHA I AM MAKING YOU HUNGRY :D
and the bill ended up to..
ninety plus bucks..
my sis is watching nickelodeon now.. the naked brothers band song is playing in the background haha.. some crazy girl song.. yup okay random.
i am contemplating if i should sell some of my old clothes that i don't wear on the net.. for like quite cheap so ppl will buy haha. should i?

okay will update about yesterday.
friday night.. after reaching home i went on the com. haha was super highhh luhh. !:D toked to sher on msn and found my blog with tags! yay! so happy haha. sher said cy updated her blog so went to read. i dunno why i read her post and kept laughing ahaha is it that funny i dunno i just felt very high and hyper and happy and smiley. lolz. i felt like back to a part of my sec 1 life; i miss sec 1, it was slack and fun. but this wk was alright. a happy week! yupyup. then went to bathe and had the L.O.V.E song in my head. one word to describe me that night is hyper!
i went to sleep with my clothes taking up 2 thirds of my bed so i had to squash in a corner.. woke up a few times in the middle of the night. i think this means i didn't have a very good sleep. i even woke up to think that i was sleeping on the other side of the bed. somehow mysteriously i thought i had moved, but i looked at my surroundings to find that i was still in the same place. anyway. what happened last morning? i can't remember. must go ask ppl first. ok i didn't need to ask ppl. i suddenly remember now.
YES, it was ANGKLUNG!
i must learn to spell angklung properly. it's SO embarrassing, i've always spelt it as anklung for like 32489003 years. but its spelt as anGklung. angklung members pls dun kill me.
so i woke up at like 7 something yesterday. ate brekky then got changed and off i went to school.
Edith had mumps and Jolynn had fever. so all never come. U ALL PANGSEH ME! D:
haha jk la.
when i reached school, went foyer and saw charmaine yap, averil, ruo xi, sabreena and some other ppl sitting on the benches at the left corner of the foyer (when u just enter). i walked towards them and ruoxi started laughing. i was like. what? and gave them uhh? looks. i still dunno what they were laughing abt. haha. then sat next to charmaine yap. then not long after sam ang came and ruo xi laughed again. sam ang gave us the what's happening? look too.
then we went to the ak room and sat for a while. sat with geena. saw the seniors (shi tian, he jia, charlotte and ying yin) playing with an oil blotter that was on the ground, blowing it and moving it with an angklung and making comments about it. haha they v hilarious. it was shi tian's bdae yesterday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D

then we went pe dept for prac. some other quite interesting things happened and wanted to blog about it, but i forgot already. we played 3 songs yesterday, TANKA AIR PU or something like that (name of one song) it was quite nice. also played U R ALWAYS IN MY HEART, another song that was quite nice. i like the melody. and lastly played this patriotic indonesian song that was ok too la. all these songs i never play before, so like wasn't sure how to play the rhythm initially. but got used to it after playing a bit la. haha. i've become very musical lately. sometimes i will have this tune i composed myself in my head - and want to write it down, except i don't learn music so i dunno how to record. my singing also not very gd so dun ask me to sing- i also appreciate music more now, and like to pretend i'm playing the piano. oh ya then during anklung when the kuls were being played everyone was like tapping their foot on the ground. haha i want to laugh la, i was smiling and felt like laughing. u can think i'm weird for all i care, whatever lor. oh ya then i was quite high and restless yesterday, and popped out saying stuff and laughing all of the sudden, which caused ppl to laugh. like RUO XI. we had break at 10.50 and went canteen to eat. were made to go back at 11.15. haha. i spent $2.50. bought ice mountain, want want seaweed big round cracker, this wafer thing that was chocolate coated and had frozen milk thing inside, tastes a bit like kinder brueno (i like!:D) that i found in the ice-cream freezer place. only the first stall was open so bought from there. then at first i thought that was ice-cream but it was chocolate, so i bought a real ice cream, the Cravio one with 3 flavours. costed $0.70 + $0.30 + $0.50 + $1, so $2.50 in total. hah. my maths is so good :D

after the break, we did something real fun! (: kak faridah asked us to put our angklungs to one side and overturn the chairs and we were like, what is she doing? then we sat down behind our overturned chairs and the kul mallots and drumsticks were given to us. each person received a pair. then we were supposed to beat rhythms like as if playing the drums. that was SUPER fun!!!
haha highhh. mum just offered for the fam to go taka to eat then come back. i want to blog so i asked for takeaway! haha see how committed i am. continuing with anklung, we played different beats on the chairs. then kak faridah told us to put our hands on our chests and say: one by one and two by two the animals (went up the boat) okay i'm not sure about this part but the sentence went something like that. as u can see my memory is very bad. then we added more and said: one by one and two by two and three by three the animals (went up the boat). and we went up until five. she keeped asking: who cannot say anymore? who's breath stopped halfway? but no one's did. haha. it's so easy to say lah! haha yeah then she anyhow put us in groups of 5 and got us to create our own rhythms for 4 things. how do u say that, is it 4 bars? each bar has four beats. then some groups like ours had to go out cos or else not enough space. then i was so blur i went to the wrong group (charmaine loh's group) then she said amanda is in cheryl chan's group right then i was like oh.. then i went to my RIGHT group. :P haha. my group consisted of cheryl chan, he jia, si min, a new member whom i dunno the name of, and me. our tune intro use drumsticks to hit four counts, then shake 1 count, hit hit, shake 2 counts (me and the new member) then continue shaking for 2 bars which was 4 sets then take up the mallot and last time hit the angklung 9 times. while we were shaking the other group members would hit their own rhythm on the floor. then we all (diff groups) shared our tunes with each other back in the pe dept rm. then when i used the mallot to hit the angklung, kak faridah said: u kachau my ak i come kachau u. lol..

then we returned the mallots, took back our angklungs (i'm still having difficulty automatically spelling angklung correctly) and stood in a circle with 3 angklungs each on our arms. and we played. my arms and shoulders got so tired! then some of the seniors so funny, they took all the tiny cute angklungs that were seriously small. like the smallest angklungs. hahaha. then kak faridah got them to change of course. i took medium sized angklungs. didn't take any base anklungs but i didn't need to change my angklungs cos they were still not that small and i'm not those very tall (hmph!) ppl so i don't need to take big stuff. haha. one of the privileges of being short, but i'd still rather be tall(er).
that's pretty much of our angklung practice (8 am - 12.45 pm). we went back to the angklung room to bring back the angklungs that were stored in the pe dept and rearrange them according to types. i was in charge of the anklungs with the coloured bands and the old double lines one. yeah. then charlotte and he jia gave shi tian her bdae prezzies. haha. yup then went home after that.

my posts are really long! omg. can u be bothered to read them, actually? haha.. i'm trying to space them out so its easier to read rather than one big chunk of tiny words. hehe. umm well so after angklung went home. was very hungry and ate lunch and watched tv that i recorded. fought with mum. kind of made up after that lah, fu nu (or mu nu) mei you ge ye chou. that's chinese, in case u don't know. then went shopping for clothes hangers, cos i needed them to hang up my clothes. went to Isetan first but didn't have. then went over to tangs also didn't have what i wanted. there were only 1 pack of 6 heavy metal hangers that were made in Germany and that cost $28. so obviously we didn't buy. we went back to isetan for the car and also because i wanted to buy mini custard puffs! i was attracted to Sun Moulin's cute and nice smelling bread and pastries and ended up buying this mini chocolate glazed pastry and a cute airy cheese pastry for me, as well as cheese bun thing that mum wanted to buy but didn't want to eat in the end and half a loaf of raisin bread which she wanted to buy for the family to eat if we feel like eating. we also bought the refrigiratored japanese mini cream puffs from the isetan supermarket. $5.90 for a box of 12. i never knew it was so ex but i guess its ok since its like refrigeratored and imported from japan. around 50 cents each. school's new malay stall's cream puff is small and like 80 cents. but it's quite nice. i told some ppl already but the uncle who sells the stuff dosen't even look at his money. that time when i bought the custard puff i was counting my coins and gave him around 60 cents or something and before i could count 80 cents he already took the money. so i was like how much did i put already, how much more to give? so i asked him how much did i give u and he said 80 cents but i dun think i gave 80 cents but since he said then ok lor let him think i gave 80 cents. then it was very confusing so i just nvm la give him less oso nvm who ask the custard puff to be so ex. total rip off la! when i asked him why so ex he said, ya, but when u eat it, its like wow! and i was like ok..
haha that day me and cy were gossiping and complaining about that uncle la. whenever we buy curry puffs from him he will ask 1 or 2 or 3? like who will buy 3 curry puffs lor. very extra the things he says. haha. why am i digressing. lol.

oh so in the end we went to ikea after buying the fattening food. i ate the chocolate glazed thing it was quite nice. really chocolatey and yummy! the pastry was thick and nice. the glazed syrup thing was nice too. then the cheese thing was shaped in a puff with a tip sticking out. very cute! the description said it had a unique texture so i decided to try. outside has a bit of cheese and inside is hollow and coated with cheese. when u bite it, it is like soft and cheesy and a bit like the cream puff kind of pastry, the taste.. not the texture. very unique and nice! dunno how to describe. completely didn't regret buying them(: in the car also ate 1 slice of the raisin bread. the bread was soft, moist and chewy with a hint of cinnamon and dotted with raisins.. it's very nice! i think it is fresh bread so nice lor. i love the moistness the best. sun moulin's bread has really improved, cos last time when i bought from them i found their stuff so-so only but yesterday when i ate them it was really nice! in case you are wondering, it is next to mos burger as isetan. next to the supermarket too. very good stuff!
oh i'm not a glutton hor. the 2 pastries i was toking about are tiny, like smaller than the size of your palm.

yup. then went to ikea. ok i noe i'm really sounding like a glutton by now but i love ikeas sweedish meatballs! they are too nice! omgomgomgomgomg. so yummy la. the chicken wings not bad too. so nice lor! OMG!!!!!!! :D when i went there i smelt in and it was so nice. i was like so nice, i love it. then my mum asked me whether want to buy back home to eat for dinner. like spaghetti and meatballs! :D and chicken wings. then she said but my maid would have cooked dinner already. so i said nvm lor. that was the beginning when we first arrived at ikea. then we went to walk around looking for the clothes hangers. walk round and round and round so many times until walk tired to find the hangers lor! then we went to the adult hangers there all the hangers not nice. either too big, or too heavy (metal) or those yucky wooden ones that i bought before that has rough fibres sticking out everywhere and ruins your clothes + fingers. mum bought a few skirt hangers though. at least never walk so much for nothing. we ended up buying 6 packs of 8 colourful childrens' hangers. $1.80 a pack only lor! so cheap. even buy 6 packs only $10.80. saw the wardrobes and beds. all so soft and comfy and shiok. the wardrobes had so much space. felt tempted. but nvm la won't buy. then we went home. ate dinner and packed my clothes. used my new hangers. the stupid childrens hangers are so small that some of my clothes will fall off very easily on them cos they are far too small.

i haven't finished packing my clothes yet, but packed around 2 thirds of them already. now my wardrobe looks so full of clothes because last time i folded most of them, didn't hang them. looks a bit messy though. i put them in order of jackets, tank tops, outer pieces, inner tees for layering, nicer tops and t-shirts. i have so many t-shirts and look fat in most of them. grr. what happened last night was that i fell asleep on my bed cos i was too tired. i just lied down a bit then fell asleep. until this morning. haha. my dad just returned home with A BIG TAKA BAG FULL OF..
HANGERS!!! i think i have too many hangers now and too little hanging space to hang them all. i haven't finished using up my colourful childrens hangers yet, you see. and now i have a gazillion more. ok. i feel like i'm part of a cartoon show which episode reads hanger 凡脑. ok its supposed to be english but i can't think of a clever phrase to describe it. its like when the protagonist has too little hangers and is in search of more, and ends up with too much hangers in the end. ok mum and sis back with lunch (sushi and spaghetti :D) so i'm gonna eat. pretty much finished blogging about fri night and yesterday so yup! this post is very long haha, just like some of my other posts.
