Batu Pahat trip

Sunday

As mentioned in my earlier post, i went to Batu Pahat today!
It was tons of fun, especially with my lovely cousins around! :D

Here's how the day went:

Woke up at 7.40 by my sis first, then my dad, then mum. all came to pull me out and up, as my uncle auntie and cousins were coming to fetch us in the big big estima (is that how to spell?) that can seat seven ppl, even eight if we managed to sqz!

Ate fried bee hoon for breakfst.

my sis and dad made 10 whole sandwiches! (20 slices 'a bread o.O)

yeah. then got changed, grabbed my Roxy slingbag and went to meet auntie grace + uncle victor + shen-nen + jay-sen. yeah~~ the journey begins!

we chit-chatted, played cards and hangman. blah blah blah. random stuff that you'd do in a car on a tripp. haha yup. my parents bought a lot of snacks (a bit too much) so i opened a pack of cheezels and lays bbq potato chips and we pigged out! :D there were those moments when we felt so bored occasionally. i regretted not bringing my origami book so we could fold origami; i did consider that before but decided not to bring later on.

we drove for miles and miles and wound up at the toilet..

anyway, the toilet place where we always stop at has been renovated and now it even has an ice-cream place and a food court and even a shopping mall? the toilet was flooded (only a little bit) but i guess its the kind of water the aunties use to clean the floor? i hope. (:
yup. met aunties and cousins at the food court. didn't get anything to eat of course, never trust the hygeine standards in malaysia. (was that a fly i saw hovering near the food stalls?)

yep. we set off again, this time all the way to the place where we pay respect to our ancestors.
continued chatting/ doing random stuff hahaha.

took a freaking long time to upload too!

so at a point in time we finally arrived, and got down to offer joss sticks and stuff. we also applied insect repellent to prevent getting bitten by mosquitoes. the smoke around the area irritated my eyes a lot, my eyes became very painful and a slight itchiness i also met with. i couldn't stand the smoke and joss stick-particlesness on my fingers, so we went back to the car enjoying the nice shade. (:

i'm very afraid of the joss stick ash part dropping on my hand so i was getting ppl to help me plant it into the containers every time we offered joss sticks. paiseh..

to cut a long story short, we basically went around to the different areas to pray and give offerings, such as food and drink.
dun need elaboration ok, i'm a bit lazy to do that.

anyway, after that we washed our hands with flower water and went to enjoy enjoy! :D yups. we went to a restaurant to have lunch. it is a chinese restaurant where we went to last year too, and the food is quite nice and there's air-con and stuff. we chatted and camwhored a bit while waiting for the food. our whole clan who came occupied three tables, one table being able to hold 10 people. i took another video, this one of our table and some ppl talking and some stoning and some not even realising i was taking a video of them! hehe. i'm not going to put it up here though..

our food came and we gobbled it up happily. maybe i'm exaggerating a tad too much. anyway the food was quite nice. we had cod fish, tofu, beans, sweet and sour pork, noodles, rice, yam ring, and maybe a few more dishes which i can't remember. we were served sweet chrysenthemum (how do you spell it?) tea which was nice and refreshing and had on-ni dessert (sweet yam paste) too boot. the oni was different from the ones we eat usally, it was sticky like a chewy ball and contained some bits of sweet potato and was topped with sesame seeds, gingko nuts and covered with a blanket of clear syrup, which was kind of gooey too.

shen-nen and aerin were doing the soulja boy dance and singing tokyo drift so now i've got the song stuck in my head. haha.

yeah. then after lunch we proceeded to go to Batu Pahat Mall..
to shop!
hahaha it was really fun!

we first went to this shop that sold cute decorative stuff!
what i bought:
-patterned wristguards (4 of them, 1.50RM each)
-cute sky blue with clouds and rainbows hot air balloon lantern, sn and aer have 1 each too! (9.90 RM)
-strawberry shortcake starpaper (1.50 RM)
-DIY curtain - crown-shaped(: (5.90 RM)
-super nice pink magnetic photo frame cum calendar thing, it has little magnetic frames where you can put your neoprints inside, making your faces enclosed in the cute frame! (19.90 RM)
-matching red and pink storage boxes, they are super cute. both the red and pink are really nice! i bought the red, aerin bought the pink and i love both equally as much. the red is cute and lively while the pink is sweet and pretty! SO NICE SO NICE SO NICE. (: (6.50 RM)

you very free can calculate how much i spent.. very lazy.

(grr. i am so pissed listing out all the items, i already wrote so much just now and it somehow got deleted cos of stupid Youtube.. zz)

then we moved on the the shop next to it. OMG THAT SHOP IS FREAKKIN' NICE TOO! :D :D :D they sell clutches and cute little pouches and most importantly they are sooooo cheap compared to singapore's prices.
i went crazy inside there :P, or at least that is what i was told. i so loooove that shop, the things are so nice and cheap and nice.
i bought..
-a silver and black polka-dotted pouch, a three layered metallic red and white polka dotted strapped pouch, toe seperator (for when u do pedicures), false eyelashes for fun and a pair of black, diamante studded hoop earrings.
and i spent 47.50 RM there.. ok right? since its RM, and RM prices are worth less now or something..

then it was getting a little late (5 plus) so we briefly looked at the other shops and went to this quaint little place that is something like a hk cha can ting, and ordered food and drinks. i was still full so just ordered a drink. ordered the same as aerin, a blackcurrant ice-blended yogurt smoothie. aerin made a star for me and shen-nen and my sister each in the cafe. so sweet of her, yes? (: we decided that we should get going as all of us had school/ work the next day, so we kind of set off. but i wanted to buy this CJ7 handphone pouch i saw in the first shop just now, so we quickly went there first before going. i changed my mind and bought a teddy bear to put in my hot air balloon's little basket hanging down, as i didn't have one at home and the shop's display looked very nice with a little bear peering at the world inquisitively from inside the balloon.

ok, then off we went back to the carpark and drove back to nice little safe singapore. we chatted in the car and aerin made her paper stars. we played would you rather? and it was super fun i tell you. laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh hahaha. i started first, asking a rather mild would you rather eat a zebra or touch dog's poo with your bare hands? shen-nen popped up,"eat a zebra." my sis said touch dog's poo with bare hands. aerin was like, "wait, a raw zebra or a cooked zebra?" and i burst out laughing. in the end, me and aerin decided we would rather touch dogs poo with our bare hands. then it was the other's turns to ask their questions. there were some sick questions like would you rather eat your toe or would you rather do something else equally disgusting, i can't remember. hahaha it was really fun though. then there was one that went, would you rather get stuck on a tree on for a week while it rains continuosly(i got the idea from the rain pouring outside at the moment), or would you rather sleep in mud with worms and a whole bunch of other creepie crawlies for a whole night.

there was another about an indian man and sweaty armpits. eww gross!

haha. anyway, we did stuff and i had a bad headache and felt car sick. also asked my mum if we could go to shen-nen's house to eat porridge for dinner and she agreed! our agreement was that we had to go home after dinner cos have school tomorrow. then after that we got to singapore customs and opened the window and i kept burping and felt much better. hehe. yay! so we went back to shen-nen's house and the sofa was so nice and comfy! ~~ wheee! so nice. we ate porridge which was nice cos its light and qing dan, nice after all the junk and ate lana chocolate cake for desert. then after that went home and i was super tired, so i didn't bother to do my homework and just bathed and slept.

we (aerin and i) saw shenny tie her bun and found it very nice, so we asked her how she tied hers. apparently ours always drops and dosen't stay.
