hello again, my readers! (:

today i woke up, ate nasi lemak and did stuff. (ok i wished my mum a happy mother's day and gave her a hug but i don't feel like writing it now as i have not been on very good terms with my parents recently)
as it was mother's day, we decided to go out and do something to celebrate, even though it wasn't a very grand celebration, it was still better than being stuck inside the house.
i suggested going for a movie so we booked tickets online for GV Vivocity! :D

the movie was speed racer. we got changed and drove there. my dad drove and the ride was bumpy as he was not used to my mum's car's brakes. i listened to my iPod! :D cos i was desperate for music haha and i didn't really feel like talking. (well, kind of)

hmm yeah then dad went to park the car and me and sis waited at the entrance of the shopping mall next to the carpark, while mum went to collect the tickets. met dad once he was done and we went to the cinema..
bought nachos (mainly my sis ate) and water for me and i dunno if we bought other drinks?

heheh yeah. we went to the cinema 5 minutes late but the trailers were still showing, as usual. haha some were quite funny. (:
then the movie started. it was abt this guy called Speed Racer from the racer family, grown up version played by Emile Hirsch who was crazy about racing ever since he was a kid. and there's his family who's really bonded and stuff and he has a childhood qin mei zhu ma gf called Trixie. his dad makes cars and of course there are the bad guys. yeah. lots of racing throughout the show. it was quite enjoyable, i must say. (: i like the colourful race tracks and stuff, they look like some fantasy place! :D :D
i love disneyland and magical, fantasy like out-of-da-world sorta things! (:
hehe he has a younger brother spritle, too, who is always with his pet chimpanzee, chim chim.
the whole movie lasted for 2 h 15 min, quite long right! :D
it indeed felt long, as well.
oh ya rain acted as taejo, so all the rain fans can go and watch.. -.-
but he wasn't as main a character though. and his english is funny!

in the end speed won.. omg the races are damn jin zhang and vigourous.. especially the grand prix.. haha.. like need very strong physical fitness to ride. dunno how he does it la.. and the cars and racetracks (like rollercoaster) look very fake.

oo but anyway it was a nice movie.. quite worth watching if you're finding a movie to watch. sher asked me to mention her.. that the movie is she reco de.. so i'm mentioning her here.. haha.. she says that the movie is damn exciting and fun! :-P well, i agree.. the last two races were fun.. and super tense okay!! GRAND PRIX.. the ending was good cos the bad guys went to jail and speed won and lived happily ever after. his brother Rex, who is also known as racer X after he went for plastic surgery, also lived! haha strong family bonds okay i'm writing more even though the first sentence of this para is supposed to be the conclusion. ok moving on..

after the movie we went for lunch at imperial herbal restaurant.
the chairs were damn cute i tell you! they are like hands in different colours.. very soft and comfy too! later i'll show u a pic i took.. (specially to blog! :D)

we ordered and i was obsessing over taking pictures will the very little battery in my digital cam i had left.. haha..
i was very hungry too! the food came.. we didn't order a lot..
we had egg white with dried scallops on a crispy "bird's nest" thing, which was just some crispy fried potato? strips, very nice! tastes a bit like potato chips haha.. (of course with out the seasoning)

in restaurant, i was also trying to take the ambience but the result shows mostly myself.. heh. (:

the cute hand chairs i was talking about! they come in many colours, like red, purple, orange, blue and i dunno if there are any more colours..

outside the restaurant (we were sitting at the glass panels by the side of the restaurant) and it reminds me of outside the restaurant in witch yoo hee! :D (i haven't really gotten over that yet, cos witch yoo hee is abt the only full kdrama i've watched)

me and mum; i am just putting it up since it is mother's day, despite me still being a bit pissed with her over just now's incident (see below), and to consider the fact that i was kind enough to edit the image, beautifying and smoothening her skin and eliminating her eyebags. (do i sound mean, oops :P)

and back to the food, we also had some fried scallops black black one.. i think they put soya sauce and maybe sugar? i dunno the sauce was very sweet..
quite nice but the sauce overpowered the taste of the scallops themselves and was super tasteful.. haha luckily had rice to eat it with.
didn't take a picture of the rest of the food, 1stly my cam was running out of bat and memory space, 2nd i wanted to just eat and couldn't really be bothered. (:

then we had veggies too.. normal fried veggies la.. dunno what's the name of that kind of veggies..

lastly, we had cod. it was terribly bad!
my dad says once he saw it, he felt it wasn't very fresh.
anyway before that no one said anything about it and i took some to eat. the moment i ate it i felt like vomiting it out.. cos somehow i didn' like it, my body resisted it. and the sauce tasted kind of funny too, like hashima i dunno why so weird.
hmm, then i complained about the fish and that was when my dad said ya its not fresh blah blah blah.. but we didn't bother complaining cos the restaurant ppl would surely argue back and say that their fish is perfectly fine, very fresh, whatever.
so we just left practically the whole fish, untouched.

after lunch went to DAISO because my sister wanted to buy a humongous pencil from there. i went as well as i wanted to see what the shop was like.. found out that everything there was $2! might seem cheap at first but i think they try to use psychology to trick one into thinking everything is so cheap, then keep buying and buying until when you checkout you realise the cost is not that cheap. and most of the things are made in china, i think.
well, it turned out daiso was not all that fabulous, the stuff there didn't really appeal to me la. i contemplated on buying some cute envelopes the japanese kawaii ones, but didn't buy in the end cos i figured i would not use them and it would be a waste of space and money.

well, then after waiting for quite a long time queueing at daiso, i got really bored and impatient.
it was very crowded cos everyone wants to buy stuff for 2 bucks and all the ppl kept pushing against me -.-
anyway, then i wanted to go look at my stuff! :D
river island, forever 21 and topshop!
omg the things there are so nice (but so ex too!)
i want to go on a spree one day.. :D
must start saving up money man!
i saw this really really nice and prettaye set of bangles at river island, a bit like what you can find at Little India (much nicer actually), but guess how much it cost?
S$35 just for like 20 thin bangles together! so ex right!
little india is much cheaper but not as nice..
oh well, my parents would never spend that kind of money.. unless i've been deprived for like a very long time, or if they strike 4D maybe? i don't think that is very often.. and even if they do, they would only be like, i buy this bangles for you but not anything else arh! and when i like want a zillion other things.

the best plan is save up myself, but i won't be able to buy much, like prob just two things or so, and i'll feel terribly broke aft that.
haha. river island is quite nice, i like their bags and SHOES! OMG :D and clothes maybe? feel like buying but they are also not that spectacular lar, if you ask me to use my own money i probably wouldn't buy cos its like quite ex, a pair of flats are like $95. oh oh but i like their gladiator sandals! :D

briefly walked around and went to forever 21 for a short while and went to adidas and didn't even get to go to topshop but i hardly got to look at anything at the shops then we needed to go. cos my dad wasn't feeling very well (like a bit sick from a few days ago). so my mum didn't care and forced us to go home. eh, i was like, dun mind go home and rest but we hardly got to shop, i feel so deprived! ):

i want to go there to take my time to shop one day, because today was so rush like ppl rushing you to go not even nice! i wonder when that will be? oh and i must save money too! :D

yeah then i was a bit pissed with my mum but we went home anyway. my sis bought a cute tissue box cover from action city and a tofu soft toy which she absolutely loves. haha i am sort of a sucker for cute stuff but our tastes are kind of different at times, i like clothes and shoes and bags and cds and accessories and stuff more! :D
cos i find myself chucking the cute stuff in a corner not knowing what to do with them most of the time haha. so its like kind of a waste of money..
however, my sis can keep all her stuff and still love them after ages! i can't! haha.

my parents say i'm high maintainence. lol.
oh well.. yup. i feel like we didn't exactly celebrate mother's day.. as in not very grand haha.
but glad to be home and blogging! :D
i've been uploading pics from my cam like 3 days consecutively in a row la! haha keep taking and uploading! :D (to post in my posts!) hehe yeah.. sher meen says she is having her italian-restaurant-mother's-day-dinner now.. at a restaurant called Ma Maison at clarke/ boat quay. and she ordered omu rice with mushroom cream sauce, sounds nice? she is forever ordering eggs in her food! :D

yep, i guess the rest of the day will be spent watching tv and slacking. like bathe and eat dinner. oh yeah everybody is busy with geog pt but as usual, i'm my super last minute self and i haven't even looked at the pt yet.. haha. maybe i'll do it tomorrow. omg i think it's going to be hard. haha. eesh, i still feel in the slacking mood, i feel i should have a really long slack break after that tough mugging for the exams!
