open house! :D

i just came back from open house duty..
i was there from 8-4!! :D

ok this is how the day went..

6.30: woken up and couldn't get up but got up eventually.
ate noodles for breakfast and stuff..
then i went to get ready at 7..
i purposely took a very long time to get ready since i had time to waste as we were supposed to reach there at 7.45 only (that was if you needed to get changed and all)

reached school at eight.
i came in my ak costume + school shoes and with a slab of lipstick on.
actually it was lip balm lah, the kind which changes into a sheer pink when applied. very pink!
so i went to the room and saw everybody there..
all i did was change into my ak sandals.. haha we too lazy to put foundation very laycheh.

took my angklungs and stoned with jolynn.
then jean led us in playing jamu and tandak.
she is damn funny la!!!!! ;)

haha yep.
then soon after that we went to the ks chee to practice..
got air-con! yay; it was so hot this morning, in my full ak costume.
the practice was ok..
i kept tip-toeing haha so fun. (nvm if u dun understand)
then i was kind of busted!
hahaha.

then 2 or 3 ppl came in..
so we ended practice.
choir needed to practice too, so we went out.
waited for like half an hour outside the ks chee before it was our turn to perform!
i was MELTING in my costume,
kak faridah disappeared and everyone was bored.
jean went around asking ppl if they knew or wanted to play seaweed, this game..
and elizabeth was talking about how she loves wearing her heels to orchard because she feels taller than 7 out of 10 ppl walking on the road.
lol.. i was bored so we walked slightly more in front of outside the ks chee (near the entrance that side) and waved to the p6s/ visitors coming in.
"hello, welcome to rgs", i said in a sian tone.

i was getting impatient and restless.
me and jolynn came to the realisation that we hadn't ordered lunch and she was damn hungry while i was going to stay till 3.30!
so we were like, how? cos we thought the stalls were closed.
I suggested going to far east for a quick bite after the performance.. eat for 45 minutes then come back to school for our duties..
then in the end the stalls were open.

oh ya anyway after a loooooooong time, kak faridah finally returned and told us to get in!
so got ready and went in lor..
then as i was going in i saw my parents!
i gave them a grr, why did u come look.
cos i didn't want them to come!
this morning my mum asked me what time is my performance.
and i foolishly told her the time.
then they suprise came to watch me!
i feel weird performing when your parents are there staring at you.

anyway, after performing went back to ak room.
our performance was said to be well-received! :D
yay though i screwed some parts.. completely forgot some parts of the score.. my mind was like, blank.
haha dunno how.. but i caught up la.
we played tandak first and i only played C which was extremely scarce in the score..
everyone else was playing more so i was a bit.. um, out of place.
at least that was how i felt.
then we played jamu next.
i was playing 2 sharp so had more to play..
then we moved side to side as usual. the end.

so back to the ak room.
me and jolynn went to change.
i wore my photog shirt, pe shorts, pink hairband, a bit of lip gloss still on and heels walking back to the room.
so cool!
i wish i could strut around the school like that but, cannot. DUH.
haha.
went ak room everybody was like, half in their costumes, eg. ak blouse + culottes/ pinafore + pink hair band/ school u + heels. :D :D
wore my culottes and took of hairband (sadly) and changed into my socks and shoes.

it was 10 o clock so i went with jolynn to walk walk around.
we went to the canteen and bought nuggets.
then walked around the canteen, hall and then went to the amphitheatre to watch the sec 1 house cheers and cheerleaders.
i hadn't even finished my nuggets so i was desperately trying to finish them somehow and trying to go back to the canteen to be able to EAT.
haha jolynn was cheering for richard..
i wasn't that enthu abt waddle, cos i didn't feel like cheering.
but i gave them support from my heart.
okay, whateverrrr.

anyway at 10.50 i bugged jolynn to go back to the canteen/ ak room cos i needed to get ready for duty..
finished up my nuggets and took my camera and went to do photog duty.
went to the amphi..
then went about to the places we were supposed to take, to take.
went ks chee where co was practising before their performance..
i didn't take a single good photo ): because:
1) my flash wasn't good enough so the photos appeared dark
2) the co girls kept covering their faces, not wanting their potraits to be taken!
3) couldn't seem to get any angle right, and co is harder to take (i.e. compared to strings) as they have a lot of ppl thus looking messier.

anyway nvm since it was just a practice.
i saw huang lao shi too..

went randomly elsewhere then went back to ks chee to take the real co performance.
haha it was easier to take since they were neater and couldn't cover their faces.
then i got the school's extra flash and was able to take better photos. (:
yipee, the flash is really useful at times when u are in a dark place, eg. ks chee..

um but anyway had to trial and error since the bounce flash was kind of unpredictable.
took the girls from strings, playing.
they are so nice to take!
like it is so easy to take a nice shot of them playing! :D
haha.

it's quite weird taking photos.. cos like you must be in front and might block the audience's view, and it looks quite extra haha.

then i went around other places to take too, can't be bothered to remember.
in the end i took almost 300 photos today!
haha.
went to the library.
went to the kitchen and took edith haha.
she was teaching the p6s how to make pizza bread.
went to kitchen 2 to take also.
then went to the ava room to take elds.
i can't remember where else i went..

hmm today was a day of such random events that i cannot recall all that happened!
i'm so lazy to remember.

haha. went to the hall to take the cheerleaders..
it was super hard to take, even the adam photography guy said so too.
cos the lighting was very weird la, i had to keep randomly adjusting my bounce flash and sometimes it worked and the lighting was good and all but half the time the photos ended up very dark and all.. even if the composition was good.. quite random lah.

my hand was aching like siao after taking the cheerleaders in the hall.
very tiring and strenuous leh!!!! :D

went to the canteen to rest and drank my whole packet of green tea in one go cos i was dehydrated.
my duty was kind of over alr so i just slacked for the rest of the day..
and i lost the little black piece that you slide on top of the flash, i put it in the big flash case then i think it dropped out, as there were holes in the case and the black thing was small.
i didn't expect it to drop out!

oh ya so the rest of the day was spent slacking.
i went to the ak room and ak booth to put camera/ duty/ stay around/ be bored and so on.
the ak room was the most boring place ever, with the irritating smoky smell coming from downstairs from either guides/ chem booth.
then since i went at 1 something and my duty on started at 2.30 i went to canteen to slack and eat, seriously bored.
on the way to the canteen i saw cy and jia yuan in their npcc uniform, so i followed them around.
we went to the canteen, i bought some cheese snack thing and ice mountain.
jy bought 100 plus for her cca mate and pink dolphin for herself and a bao.
i had not finished my snack when they went out.. to their npcc booth.
so i was like, can eat meh. then jy said can, just now she was eating sweets.
so we went to np booth and i asked the teacher whether i could eat then i dunno what he said but i could eat in the end la. so happy lor, like very slack liddat.
omg i'm so singlish today.

we slacked around and i almost ponned my whole booth duty and spent the whole shift slacking around with them at the koi pond area.
haha it was quite fun la, their booth was like deserted. kind of. so they were on duty but like me, slacked a lot too.
we went to their npcc room and jy changed since her shift was ending. we also sat near the area the guides were and ate our snacks.
chen yan and jy made their crystal things at the chemistry booth..
haha.
i made one earlier too, with jolynn (the time when we were walking around after performing) but it was quite screwed ugly colours and all.
haha i dunno where it is now, might have left it in ak room or it might be in my bag..

anyway it was totally random. we kept walking around the same areas.
frequented npcc booth, npcc room, chemistry booth, the whole koi pond area, the canteen. we also went to the hall cos there was air-con.
haha.
i took them to the ak room too but after that we went back downstairs to roam about freely.
haha i felt a bit bad ponning angklung shift but hardly anyone was there so it was wasting time stoning there anyway.
heheh.

jia yuan went to the math booth so i stayed around the koi pond walking about/ talking to cy.
she came back with a packet of nasi lemak mr lim gave her.
so we went canteen eat.
sat at a corner of the canteen.
jy said mr lim told her to check if it was spoiled (coconut milk, probably??) then me and cy helped her to smell.
it wasn't spoiled.
so she ate and cy shared a bit with her..
i watched them eat.
then i, fooling around-ishly said let's take a picture. cy very enthusiastically said, "okay!" so i ok lor take picture.

look at the wind blowing my hair! :D

first attempt those two said not nice so we tried taking another time..

then jia yuan said she closed her eyes so we took ANOTHER picture, the final picture as i was running out of memory space.
i look uglam here lor! ;)

i began singing tandak half-conciously feeling happy and got a stare from chen yan. heheh, paiseh!!

i zi-lianed as they ate..

haha eating was so fun!

after that we walked around some more..
then eventually jia yuan went home..
i stayed for a little while longer, until around 4.
then i went to get my camera and bag.
went foyer and called dad.
chatted with si min then he came so i got into the car and went home.
went home, lay on my bed viewing the pics i took then remembered i could blog and felt happy!
so i came to the com and starting uploading pics n blogging.
