Updates of yesterday + today! :D

i'm back, and with the photos! :DD

anyway, updates from yesterday, tuition onwards.
went for tuition.. didn't call the teacher before that but luckily the class was pretty empty that time so she let me go for the replacement. haha.
waited for half an hour doing nothing then i started on my graphs math hw.
hmm it was pretty slack and fun (sometimes i get suuuuper bored).

tuition ended at 3.30 so dad picked me up and we went home..
was meeting aerin to go ice skating later.
by the time i reached home aerin just got there, cos we saw her dad driving away in his car.
went up, touched up (tied my hair) and left soon after that.
hopped onto the car and off we went to jurong entertainment centre.
we camwhored in the car and chit-chatted and stuff.
i had to borrow a pair of gloves from her because i didn't have and gloves were required in order to get inside the skating rink..
the gloves looked cool so i wanted to take a pic of my hands but i didn't as i didn't have free hands to take.
we were all (me, aer and sis) wearing black tops and jeans! so cool right! and it was coincidental! (at least for me and aerin)

we could never take a glam shot at all. so i'm not risking looking ugly and putting photos of us in the car here XD

and then we arrived at jurong entertainment centre! :D
my first time there haha.

it was quite nice although we didn't really look around the shops..

i passed my bag to my parents and they gave us some money (coins) to pay for food and drinks and to rent a locker. they also paid for our entry passes.. at first i thought needed ez-link card to show that we were students and was a bit worried there would be a prob coz i had pasted a neoprint on top of my photo.. but in the end didn't even need to show lor.

we proceeded to collect our skates.
i don't know why on the place where you put your foot my foot seemed so small, it was like size 34/ 35 only, when usually i wear 37. they gave me a super small sized shoe, which was just nice but a bit tight..
aerin and my sis' was ok for them (the size).
hah. i wore my skates so fast it was so easy to tie up..
i'm proud of myself! (haha we learnt that it is good to be ego :D more on that later on)
anyway, the skates felt cold and a tad wet at first. and i was like, ew. we're wearing other ppl's sweaty cold skates..
then my sis told me not to think about it.
the skates were tight around the part under my toes, as well as my shin (the bottom part up till the skates ended).
heck lar, maybe skating that time will be better, i thought.
i brought along three pairs of socks, including the one i was wearing, two ankle and 1 thick long RGS socks that they told me to bring as it was supposedly thicker and thus more comfortable though i thought the thickness had already worn off and the elasticity had become some floppy unelastic socks..
i planned to wear two layers of ankle socks/ one layer ankle socks with the rgs socks but in the end, what did i do? i just left those two pairs of socks in my bag and happily gave it to my parents forgetting all abt the sock and entered the skating rink.
so there i was, left with a pair of grey ankle socks.

anyway, we wore our skates
then used a dollar coin to open a locker and put our shoes and aer's bag inside.
then as we put the dollar coin in and turned the key to open the locker, the sound of the coin dropping down into the coin collection area could be heard.
aerin exclaimed, "aww. now we'll never get it back!"
i replied, "we are supposed to pay for the locker"
lol.. we laughed.

after keeping the key and all, we went to the rink to skate!
my first time!
i was scared i would fall at first.. so even when i got the hang of skating i was still scared i would fall anytime.
um and the place wasn't very cold, it was just like normal air-con (i expected it to be like snow city)
i stayed at the side of the rink, ocassionally holding on to the handle and the side.
i skated quite slowly at first haha..
i even took this silver thing that was meant for little kids to hold on to while skating..
it provided support so i was skating faster with it haha.. but i had to bend down my back so my back got a bit tired after that and i was like the biggest person holding that.
so i decided to get rid of that thing and to try to skate as normally as possible.
um then it was basically ok lar, even though i wasn't very good.
it's a bit like roller blading actually!
the rink was very wet with the ice melting more and more with time.
sometimes it got very slippery!
then we went round and round.
aerin was the fastest. sometimes we skated by ourselves, sometimes we went together.
i kept to my own pace :D
haha.
then for the first time, i fell!
we were holding hands and aerin was pulling me along (quite fun actually) then somehow i fell. my butt hurt and my jeans got a bit wet.. my gloves too.
so we went to rest for a little while.
my fall wasn't so bad compared to some other ppl's, and that time the ice wasn't that slippery yet. later on it was like a big puddle! :D

carried on skating more. we decided to take another rest (or was it the same time as just now?) and bought stuff to drink and eat.
me and aer bought ice milo (very nice :D) and my sis bought hot milo.
dunno how she drinks hot milo, ice milo is so much better, hot milo would burn my tongue!
we shared a box of kimchi ramen cup noodles.
it was super nice.
we didn't pour all the seasoning, and there was only one fork so we had to keep alternating and it took a damn long time haha. it also seemed to take forever until it was your turn to eat.

after eating we went back to skate..
there were these damn gay looking old guys, 4 of them, around the age of 50 and above, who were skating very fast around the whole rink, with gay expressions on their faces. some examples would be of them pouting or closing their eyes, trying to look like graceful ballerinas? but obviously failing tremendously ;)
(like, they are middle aged-men, not terribly good-looking, just your average uncles who might be able to get senior citizen passes in a few years time?)
they skated well but who cares, seriously.
they were super action and annoying, like showing off or something!

there were some younger ppl who were show-offy too.
ugh! we were so annoyed.
haha. some of them kept coming in our way, making us lose balance and almost fall.
we were holding hands again, when my sis fell, and this time the floor was even more wet so she kind of got soaked.. and my gloves got wetter because i fell but only on my hands.. didn't fall on my butt again..

we went to a side and i squeezed the water out of the gloves, dripping wet.

um yup then we continued again..
skated for quite long before the following happened arh (i only fell twice i'm not so useless :D)
we held hands and then i lost balance again and fell, this time on my knees. it was damn pain can! my back and knees ached for quite a while.. now both my kness have big painful bruises on them!

i skated by myself most of the time, because i couldn't keep up with aerin.
yay it was quite fun overall.
we saw this very cute girl in a white jacket and a cute turquoise miniskirt (the kind all professional ice skaters wear), about the age of 7. she was a national fuji ice palace skater i think, as seen on the jacket she wore.. skated really well for her tender age!
she and some other young girls around her age were having lessons with their coache(s).

saw some sc girls there. we saw kim's (spelling?) sister (i kind of know who they are but i don't know them personally) and vera and this malay girl who i don't know but whom aerin knew.
yeah. we had two hours to skate so after two hours we left and decided to eat since we were hungry and not buy the snacks from the vending machines there.

(omg, did i just write that whole big chunk just on our two hours ice skating experience? if i did, i better move on since i have so much more to write! yay yesterday was so eventful!)

we took off our skates and i got a blister on my ankle as i wore ankle socks and my skates were very tight so they kept rubbing against my ankle. painful! like even when i bathed at night when the water touched it. and even now. haha. changing out of the skates, my old reebok shoes felt like pillows. (:

we exited the place and saw my parents outside, who apparently had waited there watching us for two whole hours, although they had said they might walk around while we skated, previously. TWO WHOLE HOURS waiting there? lol!

my sister wanted to go to watsons to buy her toothbrush so me and aer walked around the basement of jurong entertainment centre while she and my parents went to watsons..
saw this palm reader machine which had a one dollar coin stuck in the coin slot so aerin tried to use another coin to push it in, in hope of getting her fortune told for free..
turned out that we could push the coin in, but the machine was spoilt. -.-
lousy!!

anyway, me and aerin went to mac donalds dessert kiosk to buy a milkshake. (that was what we wanted at first).
then we saw the new milo mc flurry and being fickle minded, we decided to try that instead. i wanted to share cos no way i was going to eat a whole big ice cream by myself ;)
we waited at the counter but there was no one there, so we shouted, "hello?"

then someone came to serve us and we ordered a milo mc flurry.

we ate and i found the milo mc flurry just tasted like vanilla ice cream which was very sweet. a bit disappointed. met parents and sis then we decided about where to go for dinner. me and aerin thought we would be eating at jurong entertainment centre but my mum thought otherwise. she suggested cluny court's supposed famous burgers so we agreed and went there.

continued sharing the mc flurry and at the bottom we found, to my joy, more milo powder. i even found a chunk of milo powder thing inside and was very happy. haha.

went back to the carpark and car.

we reached the carpark at cluny court.
i was holding on to my camera and just came out of the car when i suddenly dropped it onto the floor!
the whole camera went a blank white. i was freaking out; i couldn't on or off my camera it just stayed a white screen. i was very scared and sad, paranoid as usual. what would become of my camera and pictures? could it be fixed?
i tried taking out the memory card but it didn't work.
so being sad, i went to the restaurant with the rest, nevertheless.

arrived at the restaurant, it was a quaint little place with beautiful, welcoming decor.
warm lights dotted the place and it looked so nice and pleasing!
i was still sad, with the decor so nice but only having a spoilt cam unable to take any pictures.
we sat down and looked at the menu.
i couldn't decide between bacon cheese burger and beef burger with black pepper sauce.
i was still upset over the seemingly spoilt camera, so i anyhow anyhow fiddled with it. took out the battery and guess what! the camera switched off itself! (duh, cos how can there be light without battery?)
and when i put the battery back, i tried to switch it on and it worked! :DDDD
yay i was sooo happy!
my camera had hope after all.
again, i had prayed for a miracle while waiting for the lift just now.
yay! :D

i was overwhelmed with joy so much so that i took this picture of aerin smiling.

i saw the signboard across me (right to the end). it said the really happy meal.

then i saw other cute stuff on the wall so i took that too (extra enthu since my camera worked!)

my sister ordered beef black pepper and aerin ordered seafood.
i tried both of theirs.
the seafood was quite nice but the black pepper was zomg damn hot couldn't take the hotness so i was thankful i ordered mine (: (which was nicest to me)

it was so big i couldn't finish. the fries were nice and big too.
everything was upsized!

my dad helped me with the rest..
his pasta was nice too, btw, but slightly spicy!

after dinner we went to the supermarket downstairs to buy stuff.

jelly beans! this picture reminds me of some book/ video i watched when i was young, of this boy going supermarket shopping and putting jelly beans (and other stuff) into the trolley.. it is so nostalgic! i dunno why no one in my family can remember though.. ):

saw the drinks section and a mirror.
which meant..

bought balloons as well, the long type.
went back to the car and opened the packets of jelly beans and balloons.
blew up the balloons but let the air escape.
at least we figured how to work the pump!

went back home. went to sis' room to play and switched on the air con.
wasted the not nice flavoured jelly beans by throwing them up in the air and trying to catch them with our mouths - never did any of us manage success. the aiming was so off!
haha wasted about 10 in total, not so bad right? some more the pack was a big pack, so wasting it was all right.

then we blew up the balloons and made them into different things.
they did.
i was a bit scared of the balloons bursting.

we bathed and played monopoly that after!
monopoly was so fun - and so funny.
hahaha we were laughing like siao.

i kind of won, but we didn't complete the game because my sister didn't want to play anymore.
i tried to control my laughter but it was difficult with aerin laughing, face red as a beetroot.

then we settled down. suggested drawing and i went to get the paper (a way to prevent myself from laughing harder other than getting it since we needed paper to draw)
took out the drawing books and drew..
i drew an animal zoo and lip gloss and a girl in what seemed like willy wonka's chocolate factory in charlie and the chocolate factory and a slushie.
so pretty and cute! :D
haha and then we were ego at first but decided that being humble was better, so we went like, "mine is so nice, but yours is even nicer"
then we were called hypocritical.
and then we decided that being ego was good, since it is important and good to have good self confidence.
and thus came the conclusion that it is good to be ego.
anyway drawing was fun! :D

we drew until 12 then got a bit sleepy so everyone went to sleep.
aerin slept in my sister's room and i slept in my own room.
i had a good sleep that night!

next morning..
i was still in slumber when aerin came into my room and woke me up.
she said my sis was still sleeping and that her room was very cold.
i slept for 10 minutes or so then decided to get up, around 8 oclock.
washed my face and then went to eat breakfast and watch tv.
we ate noodles with sauce and watched recorded peter pan from a long time ago, since there was nothing nice showing on tv that time.

omg i'm starting to get hungry now.. my stomach is growling.

anyway, that is out of the point.
after eating breakfast, aerin wanted to play with my beads so we went to my room.
i took out all my beads and stuff on my bed.
i had actually been wanting to make some stuff with the beads for a while, but was too lazy and couldn't be bothered to do so.
i made a gold chain bracelet and a beautiful pendant (i don't care it is beautiful okay).

aerin didn't make anything in the end.
anyway, she went to make water balloons with my sis after that while i continued making my pendant.
i don't know if i'm going to keep it for myself or if i'm going to put it up in my shop to sell.

once i was done with the pendant (pretty pleased with the result) i joined them in the balcony where they were making the balloons.
they tried throwing at each other but their aiming was horrible. hahaha XD
i didn't want to get wet so i didn't join them in their attempt to wet each other.

then we decided to throw the balloons out of the window.. it was very fun!
we threw but it landed up at pathetic places.. such as some trees at the garden downstairs.
it was fun throwing anyway.

we threw all the balloons out (so fun!), other than the few that broke by themselves, and other than two of aerin's "precious babies".
then we went downstairs to climb the "hill". a hill of 2 metres.
pathetic lahs but we climbed before when we were young so..
we didn't climb the hill after all. it seemed to steep. aerin did. she climbed halfway when my dad returned with kaya toast and bor loh bao from toast box. haha so i went up the stairs that lead to the swimming pool and took the bread to eat.. and aerin was stuck there wondering how she was going to get down.
she managed to climb out somehow.
we ate then they went to the pool for a dip..
until the legs only. they contemplated whether they should just walk in but decided not to, since aerin didn't have an extra change of clothes.

then we went to the top of the hill and climbed down.
went back up.

the bread from toast box was scarce and we were all hungry (esp me i think) so they asked my maid to heat up pizza.
we went to my room and painted our nails. i bought the nail strengthener, nutrition coat, base coat and top coat.. i had 4 colours with me (quite limited) and we started painting. aerin only painted the s, c and base coats.. i painted everything. i have to remove it later as we have to go to school tomorrow.

then we went to forum for lunch.

went to watsons first.. bought blusher for angklung and couldn't redeem the free gift cleanser set because it was only at selected outlets..

went to the restaurant for dim sum later..
i didn't have appetite (despite my saying i was hungry an hour ago) and i just felt like drinking soup..
dad exchanged for RM and bought some mags and he bought vogue so i read while waiting. everything is so nice but ex and unavailable in singapore. i love the photos too, they're all so artistic. (:
we ordered soup, pan-fried carrot cake, some deep fried spicy thing, pi dan shou rou zhou, some fish thing that only my parents ate, xo squid, some custard-y bao that was super oily when i bit into (it was supposed to be runny) and maybe one or two other dishes that i forgot.
not a lot, but i was full after eating just the congee, half a carrot cake, one custard-y bao and drinking the soup.

after we finished eating, we went up to walk walk and look at the expensive shops.
didn't buy anything of course..
they are all damn ex. and damn nice!
TriBeCa is so cool.. the clothes are pretty but all expensive.. ranges from $500-$2000 or more, i think.
colette was more affordable but not that cheap also. the bags were mighty cute..
around $50-$900 probably?

anyway we didn't look for long and went home.
and then i uploaded all my photos and blogged once i reached home.
i think this is the longest post ever!

guess how long i took.. now it's 5.39 pm and i can't remember what time i started..
i know it's a long time though.. my eyes starting to get tired and head starting to get dizzy after sitting in front of the com for so long..
