i just got booked.
for fringe;

taiwan shows are so dramatic and exaggerated, haha ;)

anyway i got booked in the foyer while waiting for my mum to fetch me -.-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd have to pin up my fringe everyday from now. GAH!!

oh anyway i'm starting to like huan huan ai! :D
maybe i'll watch it everyday! haha (i think today is the first ep.! :DD)

watched kungfu panda with my family at tiong bahru plaza. haha i know the name sounds like it's related to tiong bahru WET MARKET but that place's pretty okay. (:
ate at subway before the movie started.
i got a set meal which consisted of a wrap, F&N grape (oo i love it! :D) and two cookies. gave one to my sis, she wanted peanut butter. i took mac nut white choc which i've been trying to get (in vain) for ages.

i like F&N grape and blueberry soda loads!
though they are supposed to be unhealthy.
i'm doing RS on fizzy drinks.. haha. so it's kind of ironic.
we're gonna find out the level of acidity in fizzy drinks (including F&N grapeeee).
i think it'll be kind of interesting. (:

anyway the movie was pretty nice and funny too.
lol.

after the movie ended it was 8 plus already but it felt like 4.
haha wasn't realleh hungry but didn't want to go home so we went to walk about first.
went into sportslink but didn't buy anything.
i saw this jacket that looked quite cool though; it made me look sporty hahah (:

anyway i spent a long time in the body shop after that and poor dad chose to wait outside the store and was bored stiff..
i think he got quite pissed :/
ohwell i ended up buying a pink grapefruit body scrub it smells really good! :D and organic cotton socks meant for wearing while sleeping to make the lotion penetrate better?!
haha it's kind of a waste of money but it's bought already.
they came off in seconds the 2 nights i wore them :P haha.

we went home and parents out for dinner.
i forgot what i did.
i think i was slacking.. :D
hehehhhhhh!!
oh yeah.
i remember now :D
holed up in my air-conditioned room until 12 when i came out to eat cheese crackers and scallops.

woke up late (i think) from sleeping at 2 last night.
ate nasi lemak parents bought from the market.
i guess i slacked (again) until it was time for tuition at 1.30 pm.
went there, did math and finished all my ws (:
then came home.
wasted time and went shopping later on.
i bought A LOT OF THINGS xD haha i bought
-4 tops
-1 vest
-black tights (yay :D)
-a pair of shorts
-1 necklace
-3 hairbands and a hairclip
-a pouch

mm yeah, that should be all.
feeling guilty for spending $$ again.
lol.

went home ate dinner very late felt tired and sian went to bathe and went to sleep at 1.
didn't notice the time but it should be around there or later.

Today

YO.
today had good parts and not as good parts.
it'was a day of turbulent events!
morning assembly and head prefect '09 candidates speeches.
went back to class for geog.
then mrs chan made those who didn't do their ws stand at the corner of the class, "not letting you have the luxury of sitting down".
haha quite a lot of ppl didn't do.
shared a table with jean and took down the model answers..

time seemed to go by quite quickly and had math after that.
stone lahh.
at least i had done my ws and understood them. (:
then had PE.
PE is a total waste of time, other than the fact that it ensures tt physically less active pupils get some exercise.
had badminton today.
we were assessed -.-
bl**dy sh*t.
another f***ing event.
before the assessment started, we practiced..
it wasn't really the best practice..

then the assessment sucked lah i got an adequate not like i really care since at least i got a proficient for rock climbing.
anyway i hate the restrictions in surfing they gave us; i couldn't surf well in the correct way so my playing sucked.
and i wasn't focused; i seemed to just lose caring about playing well.

had recess.
sian bought a bun.
ate and went up..
changed and aarthi was damn funny cuz the next block was english and a male teacher was going to come in so ppl kept joking about how he came already (while some ppl were changing) then someone said, "he's here!" then aarthi, who was in the midst of changing turned around and flashed open her shirt.
omg hahah so funny, maybe i shouldn't be writing this here.

wrote my P.E. in english class..
crapped some points which seemed kind of screwed in the end.
i kind of forgot how to do P.E. already heh.
ohwell gave it to stacy to mark.

lunch was more pleasant then recess :D
me and sher wanna go to FEP soooooooon!
but dunno when we are both free to go together.
haha.

i hadn't done my jian bao so went up to try to do it.
then luckily it was science (free block) before chinese so i had loads of time to do my jian bao.
anyway i had finished half of it quite fast.

our new science teacher came in but it was a free block so me, sher, ke and cy went to the library.
we brought along our homework to do but we got distracted by the American seventeen magazine instead..
by the time i started to complete my jian bao there was only 10 minutes left.
got so long meh?

completed my jian bao; went back to class and had chinese lesson.

okay then school ended.
went with edith and jolynn to 211 but didn't manage to collect money.

we went to the room to 'chope' our angklungs!
haha we were like aunties so funny (:
today was the first in a long time i got to take my pick of many full rows of angklungs yay :D
hehe. (i must sound like a ak fanatic but i'm not one)

then, we took our angklungs (approx. 4 per pax) with us to the canteen.
sat, ate and chatted.

practiced in the ak room today as there weren't many ppl - rare occasion!
haha prac was slack.
me and jolynn ate so manny gummy worms/ bears that we felt a bit sickly..
but it was fun i guess.
tried to bribe hannah, who asked me to keep my food and i didn't react immediately, with my gummy worms but it didn't work.
lol.
pointed my toes ballet style.
my calves ached when i pointed, esp in the beginning!
haven't pointed for 12903948 years. XD

jolynn is still thinking about what to wear on national day!
something red. not like a hongbao though.
we picked up on this topic today, from where we left it the last prac.
hahaha.

it was funfunfun!
and i found out something - we are allowed to wear any clothes/ shoes/ accessories and even let down our hair on national day! isn't that the best ever? XD
like finally, for once!
and i SWEAR I WON'T LET MYSELF GET BOOKED FOR LETTING MY HAIR DOWN. HAHH!

hey there!

I'M GOING TO WATCH GOSSIP GIRL NOW. YAY! :D

i think i'm going out to watch KungFu Panda later this evening. i know it's very late, it came out ages ago. haha.

anyway. shall tell you something mentionable about angklung today.
and a new thing that i decided on.
it was the freaking sawdust remains from the wood boarers that ate our angklungs/ wood boxes (?)!
well it was the SMP5 bandung angklungs i think. and they ate them a long time ago so nothing to be freaking out, about.
anyway, we ended prac at about 11.30 today but we weren't dismissed and had to go back to the ak room to CLEAN UP.
lol.
struggled with carrying nine angklungs, 5 and 4 on each side (my hands) and my pouch which i had to hug between my arm and torso.
omg luh, my pouch was like dropping, haha.

well, we put back the angklungs then kak faridah instructed people to do various stuff. -.-
argh! then i was asked with 5 other ppl to clear the big wooden boxes full of SUPER DISGUSTING sawdust.
it was super gross lor, like a desert inside the box with random hairs (from a broom presumably) and other weird things.
anyway, we lugged it to the lift, then down to the foyer and to the canteen (long cut).
then the peeps with the other box joined us.
omg freaking gross, we carried it and emptied it into the big green dustbins (original plan was to ask the green men to help but we didn't) and all the sawdust came falling out.
the first time it was like flying upwards into the air, like damn a lot of sawdust flying everwhere.
then when it came to the second box we didn't aim very well and part of it fell on the floor.
everyone was freaking out but it was kind of funny to lah.
being the responsible students we are, we took the broom to clear up while the others took the almost empty boxes back to the angklung room. -.-
i had to wash my hands like 4 times. seriously.
i decided that having sawdust poured all over your body (until you are covered all over) is one of the grossest things ever, an askable question in a 'would you rather' game. (:

moving on.
angklung is going to bandung this end November!
for probably, 5 days..
only 35 peeps can go though.
we heard that the food is um, quite untolerable (mrs goh told us her stomach can only dahan 5 days max.)
oh well. when i heard that i was thinking of bringing a stash of packet & canned food..
and force myself to survive on that for 5 days.
dunno if we are even going or not lah!

we practiced the songs for national day today.
me and jolynn are thinking of what we can wear on ND! (something red)
i must go shopping soon! (but not the splurging kind, the smart shopper kind yay!)
hahaaaaaaaaaa. we felt like buying now, except it seems a very long time to ND! (:

okay i officially have nothing else to write.

hello, just came back from phototaking!
haha, i think i must have looked super unglam. :/

anywayanyway!
yesterday had angklung and nothing much. ahaha. oh yeah, i went for the strings concert at night. it was quite good! :D
i was there for duty actually :P

i find myself getting lazier and lazier to blog nowadays.
i guess it's just that i don't have anything nice to blog about.
this wk is damn boring.
and it's friday already - how fast.

today we had art..
played with clay! haha quite fun.
unleashed our creativity to create pencil holders, little containers and decorative ornaments of different shapes and sizes.
haha i made a small open-top container that had a rainbow in front and carved&cut-out hearts along the sides.
haha i wish we could paint it then i'd paint it bright vibrant colours like a nice nice rainbow and fuschia/ hot pink; mm, that pink.

ok that was quite crappy.
anyway we had assembly after art and it was a talk about sex and sexuality.
sher was like, ew ew hahaha :D
felt quite sleepy during the talk..
they were just crapping stuff that is quite obvious to most..
lol..

ok i know this post is getting seriously boring.
i'm off to find ways to entertain myself now,

heeeeee. one word.
YAY! :DDDD
i'm the freaking happiest person on Earth!
at least for now.. yeah you know the story.

anyway, guess what!!!!! XD
the reason for my extreme jubilation, elatedness, ecstasticness, whatever, (i know its ecstacy not ecstaciness (:) is,
I FOUND MY MATH ASSIGNMENT 2! SUPER DUUUPER HAPPPYYYY LAH! :DDDD x 1000000
i was screaming like crazy when i found it.
wah, the intenseness, looking through piles and stacks of dusty papers and books (oh i found my chinese file too (:), and to no avail, i finally (okay, MUMMY) spotted out of the haystack, the needle - my DKNY bag with a promising pile of papers (alliteration! but not intended). it was like the last possible stack of papers with hope - we had already rummaged throught about everything else in the house visible. then slowly flipping though each paper gingerly, making sure not to leave out any, the tension got higher and higher as each passing paper proved not to be the one i was looking for. oooomg. then finally, GRAPHS ASSIGNMENT 2.
WHOOOOOOOOOO ~ HAPPINESS! :D
i high-fived mummy damn hard like slapping my hand against hers and she was complaining how painful it is.. -.-
but oh well i was too masked by my euphoria to care about the slight pain.
oh then i jumped about dancing and kissing both my pillows cos i was simply too happy. (:
haha yup u may think i'm crazy for all i care.

oh yeah anyway read a little bit of merchant of venice (get this: we must finish reading the whole book by either tomorrow or friday, dunno which but in any case, it's urgent).
oh and you know why i was so happy i found that ws, cos it is kind of long overdue and me and ling zhi are probably the last ppl who haven't handed it in yet, besides the ppl i don't know who didn't hand in. oh and anyway the main reason is,
I'LL GET A TEACHER'S BOOKING IF I DON'T HAND IT IN BY FRIDAY, which is equivalent to a STRAIGHT DC (detention class) and kind of a bad record which no one wants. (duh),
for those of you who don't know.

oh ya anyway i have to totally finish all my hw and other misc stuff by today because i'm busy the whole of tomorrow.

7.00 + till around 3 = school lessons, 3.15-5.30 = angklung, then from 5.30 or so go straight to NAFA auditorium thingo (must remember to find out the full address) for photog duty (p/s the camera or card is a bit faulty so i must figure how to solve that by tonight or i might have to bring my own tomorrow) then take photos of strings concert until like, 9 or 10 plus. then by the time i go home i'll be too tired to do anything. esp freaking hard math graph ws.
so i gotta do all my work today.
fyi, i dunno how one is supposed to finish reading a thick literature book in one evening, together with a dumb MATH ws. in case you didn't know, i absolutely abhore math.. haha you get it (:

oh anyway i still have tons to rush off lor. like english, history, and whatever other things i'll have to check out later. (:
self reminder: bring tie tomorrow for photo taking. and ps tee + culottes for duty. and the camera.
hope i remember cus i'm such a (according to some people) blur pok and i'm forever forgetting to bring stuff or misplacing all my stuff, wallet, handphone, books, can't think about any other things at the moment, except WORKSHEETS ESPECIALLY.
like, my hw or stuff.
oh i just misplaced my chinese file a couple of days ago (it turned out hidden under that stack of stuff on the floor in my room which i ought to clear soon), and i was thinking like how the hell can i lose one big chinese file. i'm so glad i found it today. up till now, i have lost my 2a math and chinese textbooks so i had to buy new ones from popular.
oh but i always manage to find most of my stuff in the end most of the time, so it's okay ((: and i'm always v, v. relieved and thankful. thank god. (:

today was like a rollercoaster of events for me. many little things happened, well, some were bad and made me a bit dis-spirited (dun think there's such a word but well) and some were good which made me feel a bit better.
haha it's like..
oh anyway did you know i saw a rainbow today?
that made me really happy. i was kind of in a pissy mood because of school work stuff. not going to elaborate since i wanna think about nice things now (:
oh anyway, i was at the lift lobby of my house, had just returned from tuition and was going up..
saw that rainbow on the floor.
so pretty! (:
it uplifted my spirits, it realleh did.
rainbows just have that kind of magical power that lets one forget about stuff for a moment and just enjoy the pretty colours.

haha then i could only see red, orange, yellow and green on the floor, perhaps because the darker colours didn't appear very strong on the rather dark-coloured floor.
then i stepped onto the rainbow and i could see the 7 colours all very clearly on my white shoes.
haha it was kind of a rare sight (to me at least, though i saw before) and i wanted to take a photo as the colours were really extremely beautiful but it was too leychey and i didn't have a camera with me except the school's DSLR which was not working and my handphone which is out of memory space.
so i didn't take it in the end.

i am so in the mood to blog now hahah (:
oh you know why i didn't blog yesterday;
besides not being in the mood, i had fallen asleep at 7 and slept all the way until this morning at 6.30, because i was simply too tired and couldn't be waken up.
i didn't eat dinner, so cool right!
didn't even feel extra hungry this morning lor!
haha.

merchant of venice is pretty readable till the part i read up to, prolly the second chapter.
it was better than i had expected. (:

school hasn't been that eventful lately, it's really just lessons and nothing fun/ no activities.
low probibility of it happening since exams coming up and all. *groans* so sian.

haha okay maybe i should get started now i've made up my mind to do a few pieces of work tonight. (:

haha, sher meen finally gave me my belated birthday present today! :D she said in order to make-up for the looong wait (she forgot to bring many days ;)) i get to 'decorate' her face and decide what she'll wear for the next meet up!

okay, today was SUPER boring, lessons i mean, i know everyone was so restless cuz we had 4 blocks of lessons straight before lunch time!

there were a bunch of sec 4s who appeared to be looking at me and stuff.. i think cuz i look like one of them, so they were saying how i look like her (my inference) and blah blah blah. no offense, but, i wished i could be invisible at that moment of time cuz, like, who wants a bunch of ppl staring at you as if you are some rare animal being paraded around. i mean, like.
hmm, i wanted to be invisible many times today. i'm not exactly in the bestest mood you see. -.-

oh yeah anyway i was having a really bad stomach ache throughout the talk. it was unbearable and i felt cold. oh yeah and i was having a little bit of runny nose also, i think the fan in class was too cold. sigh. i'll try to sleep earlier today.
oh yeah speaking of today, (now it's 5.33pm) i have later until night to revise for my math FA! everyone go OH MY GAWD! :O

oh ya i finally went to the toilet and felt a bit better after that. haha. (:

eg. "da jia" (everyone) was pronounced as "da ya" in a faster manner.

oomg! my 99th post! :D

hello!
i feel like i haven't blogged in a long time! haha.
i've been a suuuuuuuper good girl this wkend, spending most of my time on my homework instead of the computer, probably that's why i feel disconnected from the cyber world!
haha.
i'm not a geek though~

anyway, i've completed like, 4 things on my hw list, i think! :D
haha that's like the rarest thing ever.
i think it's the first i've done so many pieces of hw in one go! (okay, i don't really do my hw normally)
i'm feeling really determined this term u see..
haha.

done gong han, yue du bao gao, science proposal and going to do math worksheets and revision and my chinese file tmr! when i get to school because i left it there. (actually most of them are overdue/ meant to hand in on time; i'll get teacher's booking if i dun hand in my slight overdue chinese stuff and oh yes - i still have a chinese compre ws D: and my math ws they are a bit confusing but i'm going to make sure i know my work along the way cuz i want to get gd grades for the next exam(s)!! must get 3.6 if not 4.0. oh yessss, my exam paper is still in school (hopefully!!!). i went to school to try to take it back today, but the security guard didn't have the keys.)
haha anyways.
i found out something!
when you're bored, do your homework as it is more productive than sitting on the sofa for X minutes doing nothing and you'll get a sense of satisfaction! and well, it keeps you occupied. :D
lol..

haha okay i shall tell you about what i did today then.
woke up quite early (for my standards) this morning, about 9 plus or ten.
then ate yong tau foo from this very famous stall at china town where you have to queue for like, 30 minutes or something to buy.
anyway mum and sis da bao-ed home lah.
cuz i apparently woke up too late (and i'm lazy too).

then after that i did my math textbook practices, i think..
went bras basah popular to buy stationary and my chinese chickensoup for the soul book to do my book review.

i'm so happy, i bought a new sketchbook, 48 colours coloured-pencils, a file i've been wanting to get so that all my ws won't get squashed and crushed like giaam chai in my bag as they have been for the past 123983 years and some other random little items.
oh yes, and not to forget some fashion design books!
haha.. hope i have time to do leisurely stuff as school is reopening kind of officially! :D
well i like school.. (:
then we went back home to DO WORK.
lol.
anyway i did some, but you know everybody cannot do without resting at all so i took occasional breaks and surfed the internet a bit.. until my parents came and asked me to go back to work. haha.

oh and my sis was making cup cakes too.
they are super tiny lah!
haha i tried them.. (fat-ness)

Hello!

how should i start;
We didn't have any lessons today except art. (had SA block and/ or our new english teacher didn't come)
painting was all right, i was glad i could finally add some COLOUR to my painting! :D
it was dark blue night sky on black paper for the last few art lessons, you see. how boring.
oh but u know what - i put it in between my drawing block while packing up at the end of the lesson, and the paint was half dry so lots of pulpy cardboard bits got stuck to it! D:
i hope i can touch up nicely haha. (:
was hyperring during wash up with iliana and aarthi.
somehow felt i was in overseas country while washing up, maybe the smell of the back of the art room? LMAO. how queer!
but i like it (:
we were super high; at least i was!
haha laughed like crazy wheeee! :D

then it was assembly straight after art.
some of the performing arts ccas performed for us - namely co, ELDS and dance.
it was okay lah, assembly, seemed to go by faster than usual, today.
tried calling jolynn 10000 times but she didn't hear me.
oh yeah then after assembly i went back to class to put my art bag then met sher and cy at the canteen for lunch.
i went back to class a lot of times, then went to 206 and back to my class, the toilet, just roamed about trying to while away the hour or so i had before PHOTOTAKING!

then at maybe 1.30 plus i was so bored i went to change into symposium tee and culottes since no harm getting ready earlier and i had nothing more productive than that to do. haha.
finally it was two and me and jolynn went down to the foyer..
we were supposed to take angklungs as props for the photo but the room was locked so we went back down to wait.
jolynn went up to get her name tag.
NPCC sea and red cross were having their photos taken just before us!
oh then anyway, we didn't do much.

the room was opened eventually so we went to take our angklungs.
i took my 2 favourtite notes! :D
then cheryl chan was like, you only need one angklung.
hahaha.
so i put one back.

then we waited for mrs goh to return to school (she was outside somewhere) to take the photo.
argh, i don't like queueing up according to height!
makes me look so short. ):
i was like in the 2nd row of four in the photo.
but a lot of ppl stood in the second row anyway. (:
the photo taking was really fast.
took 2 formal shots and one informal one.
haha the informal one was funny because it was like, 1, 2, at the count of three pose and the shot was taken in a second.
seemed so fast lor! haha.

waited at the foyer with jolynn.
i was telling her, and i realised, that i've been eating so much food the past 2 days!
which is yesterday and today.
anyway yesterday i ate so many chocolates that i think i'm growing fat!
i ate one small cadburry (from ak), one marshmallow blast (from ak) and probably 3 or 4 Patchis and one small twix! how sinful is that!
to top it off, i also ate a sinfully (maybe it's not as sinful) delightful meiji crackers.
i dunno why i like them quite a lot. haha.
oh and i ate lots of other random stuff (i sound like a rubbish bin that stuffs junk into itself) and a lot for dinner, which was quite suprising because i ate a lot of junk in the afternoon and i still had appetite to eat that amount for dinner.
lol!
and today maybe not so bad but i feel fat. dunno if i've been subconciously eating a lot and growing fat, or maybe i just grew fat somehow, butttt.
i've not been losing any weight, maybe not gaining a lot of fat either - but staying the way i am for a long time.
normally if i eat healthier i will lose a little bit of fat i don't know why my fat is like frozen and stuck there now i feel so fat! D:

Mummy wanted to use up her isetan vouchers so we went there for lunch, her only actually, as i was still full from just now; i just ordered barley. After lunch we went to walk about very randomly (superdedooper sian) and stuff. oh anyway it was super random.
then after patronising the shops (didn't buy anything), we went to the supermarket.
bought 2 cheese things (you know the one i mentioned before!) okay, you don't remember.
lol..

they were having a hokkaido fair and it was pretty crowded.
bought scallop tako yaki and a cream pancake thing.
u know the kind that they have red bean also.
yeah.

i saw yi hui there! (i know her but don't really know her la, just that i always bump into her outside somehow and i think she recognizes me too! XD)

today i realised that:
1. I always bump into ppl i know outside (well, sometimes)
2. I always bump into the same few ppl very often! Eg. i don't bump into various different ppl every time. i will always bump into the same person (maybe 2 or 3 ppl) whenever i bump into someone i know outside!
3. They see me too! but maybe pretend we didn't see each other. or sometimes we really don't see each other. okay, it's either one or another, making that quite obvious XD gah i bet you are confused to what i'm saying XD

haha i saw a few rgs girls at isetan, but i didn't know most of them.
and omg you know what?
i was walking normally at the supermarket when i saw someone familiar.
then i was like, AERIN!
omg omg omg omg omg! ahaha XD
She was there with her mum supermarketing. haha, they bought a lot of stuff from the supermarket lol. to cook a japanese dinner i think! :D

today is a very bump-into-people-ish day lor! i was also telling sher and her friend how i always see sher's fren outside, during lunch.

we went to heeren after that but it was nothing much cuz my mum was mad at me for spending so much money, i didn't dare to ask to buy anything so it was just see see walk walk and get tired and didn't see anything THAT nice and just got moodier since my mum was being pissy and stuff. -.-

so it was a waste of time.
went home and felt so tired and not in the mood for anything so i just rested on my pillow. (:
so nice, i fell asleep.
haha then by the time i woke up i was woken up by my mum and she was yelling some stuff at me and i was still very blur from my sleep so i couldn't make out what she was saying.
i eventually figured that she was asking me if i was going for busy bees; my lesson starts at 7.15 pm and it was 7.10 or so when i was woken up.
so i was like zomg! hahaha and i said i was and quickly got up, washed up and pulled on my top and shorts and jacket.
by the time i got there it was nearly 7.40 i think. hahaha.
i thought the class would be full and stuff and i would be very paiseh but it was suprisingly empty (only 3 ppl other than me were there) and it was bright and well, empty.
so i took my seat and it was quite cool haha.
LOL.

i was quite motivated and zhuan xin today i think.
haha.
we finished on time today! :D
after tuition went to seven eleven with tessa.
saw cleo (i'm starting to like it haha) and this month's issue of seventeen! :D omg!
we looked at the mags first.
oh well so i paid up and went out to my dad's car where we drove home after that.

haha is that all i have to say i thought i had more but oh well never mind i don't want to write a 3 page long essay either. (:

school reopens!

not much time to blog now, as i have a ton of hw waiting for me to complete.

so just a fast one okay. (:
btw i found that photog photo when searching the ccas on the rgs website! and i'm in it! :D yay haha so happy anyway glad that i look ok not like in the yearbook.

today was 1st day of school, school reopened le! (nvm lian also can lar)

anyway it was ok though had cca so it was pretty tiring by the end of the day.
haha.
lessons were okay, met our new history and clet teacher, miss wani.
she seems okay so far.
got back my exam paper to revise! so guai rite! :D
haha jk anyway i hope i can postpone the math fa that was originally tomorrow, cuz it clashes with angklung phototaking!
yeah, and anyway.
i've got tons of work to do, seriously, truckloads.
like super a lot to do by today and the wk end.
guess what i haven't started my science investigative proposal which is due tmr.
zomg need to chiong later.
and maybe study for math?
anyway i have to find the assignment 2 and do it (super tedious lah) cuz i dun wanna have a bad record this term.
oh man i'm so motivated. (:
anyway rite, i dun think i will do it lah cuz got too many other things to rush.
okay i'm crapping here.
angklung was okay today, we cleaned up and later on went to the needle work room it was really cool with air con and lots of food (oh i l-o-v-e our nice nice home econ teacher ics ((:).
yay had chocolate cake and cheese salt biscuits and sweets and chocolates.
we discussed the feedback on symposium.
i guess it was all right.
went home after that.
read urban for a little teeny weeny bit and i went to revise my math.
was dilly dallying, i'm not very productive in the studying department. haha.

santa (sp?) yusup. i always thought it was spelled as santa yusof. anyway they are this top angklung group from Bandung, Indonesia. they are very good and have lovely costumes! :D

after this we had crazy rehersals for 1 and a half hours standing on the stage straight and playing songs that we could never seem to get perfect and didn't meet kak faridah's expectations, who was PMSing at that time. my ankles were hurting like crazy and i was friggin bored. well anyway yesterday was a pms-ish day haha. and then after that we quickly went for our tea break (the second one ate four meals they provided yesterday :D) where i ate 2 curry puffs and 4 cream puffs, which were very nice. after that we had to quickly change into our costumes and do our make-up. oh and the make-up and everything else was super rushed and pressurizing! haha. didn't have time to take photos as a result so the photos below were only taken after the concert. volare was quite a blast, well, i don't care if u beg to differ but i guess it was pretty okay lah. although we screwed up a little but it was kinda fun. to me. and of course santa yusup is like better what do you expect they are the top in like, indonesia where angklung originated from and i learnt that bamboos are extremely important and bear a great significance to them hahah. (:

i was so happy i could walk around in my symposium tee + pe shorts coz i didn't feel like wearing culottes. hmm not many glam shots so this is the best i can find.

i also took this disgusting bright blue drink, whose photo i shall not put here as i feel so disgusted i feel like vomiting when i see it. oh and my drink had some weird white particles in it, many of them; i don't know why it was there once i dispensed the drink into my cup how weird anyway i didn't dare to drink it at all how terrifying.

so the only possible option was i left it in my aunty's car..
or else that meant i lost my phone.

luckily, it WAS in my aunty's car, so i have my phone back with me now! :D

called my dad to ask just now and was damn elated when he said he got it back!

my ipod isn't spoilt plus my hp is found!
haha, both made me so scared but now i'm happy!

picked parents up from airport then went to tiong bahru for dinner.
ate bamboo clams and crab and veg and fried rice and stuff..

couldn't wait to get back home to watch gao peng man zuo + eat milk pudding (that they bought) + see the stuff they bought home at that time!
so we went home..
opened the stuff.
well, it wasn't that exciting but i guess its ok la.
as in, its good enough already.

received a pouch that i'm going to use to store my make-up, and some clothes..
lol.
i guess my parents can't really buy clothes for me..
coz we have different taste.
even though they tried to buy something they think is my taste and that they thought i would like, it still turned out a bit diff from what i would buy for myself.
i'm not complaining or being ungrateful or anything ok.
i appreciate it already and dun mind la.
i guess it isn't that bad.

Feeling of exhilaration at 11.44 am

hello!
i'm feeling happy now! :D
just had a shower.
haha.
ok this sounds weird.
anyway, i'm going to update you on my life! :D

can i say abt this morning first? :D
i was lazing about in bed..
it was fun.
cuz i felt happy.

ok anyway.
i suddenly felt very happy at 11.44 am.
i dunno why.
i was looking at my alarm clock and saw the time.
and i was feeling happy at that time.

thinking about happy moments.
the past.
the great times.
feeling happy.
knowing that i'm growing up and really GROWING, as in, spiritually or wat u call it.
gaining new perspectives.
understanding more about life.
well, at least i think i do.
and also, laughing at how cute my thinking was a few years back.
i'm not being ego or anything hor, it's just funny how your way of thinking changes as you get older.
i felt super high.
not bouncy-ish like how i bounce and jump about when i'm high sometimes (most of you who saw me before know that right) but just super happy.
like keep smiling non-stop.
ahaha.

I like the feeling of exhilaration.
lying there, doing nothing for 20 minutes.
seeing how time flies by so quickly.
and recalling great moments and feeling that life is great.
haha, don't you agree?

but u won't understand unless you have the same experience.
or unless you have the natural gift of being empathatic.
but for me, i have to experience it for myself until i can understand other's joy (for eg.) on a matter.
lol.

anyway. on to less abstract stuff.
shall tell u about yesterday then.
woke up pretty late. about 11.
yeah.
then it was considered quite late as someone was gonna pick us up at 12.
uncle andy was supposed to pick us up at first, but later plans got changed so that koko came to pick us up instead.
she came at, 12.30? and i delayed for a little while. :P
sorry.

anyway, aerin had left her phone in the gym so we went back to sc to get it.
however, the gym was locked.
so she didn't get her phone.
then it was damn funny, koko asked me to call shennen to tell her to go to 2a instead of 17 first, because our trip was delayed and she would have to spend some time cooking in 17 first.
so i called shennen but her phone was not on.
so i tried calling jaysen.
his phone was off too.
so i called hon sean this time, his phone was on.
told him to go 2a coz we were still in the car.
then guess what!!!
we were inside the car outside the go at sc, when suddenly shennen and jaysen popped out and looked at us through the windows!
hahaha.
they were actually just right behind us (in the car just behind us) and we tried to call them to tell them so much stuff!
lol.
hon sean was in the car too.
so, cuz aerin might take a long time to find her phone and koko was very enthu abt going home to faster cook, hon sean followed us back to 17 while the plan was that aerin would follow shennen + jaysen + uncle victor back to 17 when shennen found her.

so we went to 17..
sat down doing nothing, wondering what i could do.
then very shortly after shennen they all came to join us.
so we were all sitting down there wondering what to do.
then kerri and ryan came too.
so yeah.
then just chatted blah blah.
oh yeah then we went to help koko make wantons.
it was quite fun! :D
heheh, i made many different shapes, unleashing my creativity!
lol.
ahaha, we also tried to make the 18 folds thing.
kerri sat there and read my cleo magazine.

then we were done with the wantons and gave the plate to koko to cook.
haha, then we went to drink the blueberry sodas and pinch char siew.
koko's char siew is very nice!
aerin went to bathe.
so yeah..
haha.
then after that when aerin came back she told us she was bathing in 17, i didn't realise before that and thought she went up to 2a to bathe!
haha.

then the noodles came, girls got served first! (:
haha.
it was quite nice.
at the end of the noodles, i was wondering if koko had put peanut butter inside.
i know it sounds weird, but it did have a hint of peanut butter taste..
oh and me and shennen shared 2 thick, red, napkins twice! after washing our hands haha.
yup.
the wantons arh.. um at first i didn't really dare to eat cuz they looked weird shaped and i dunno whose they were..
as in, who made them just now.
but i ate them nevertheless.
i hope i ate a few of mine. (:

the food was nice, but ate till very full!
one of koko's 'very simple and plain meals' again.

then we had pretty cherries for after lunch fruit.
there was a exceptionally bright red one among the darker coloured cherries!
looked cool so i took a photo.

oh yeah, so we sat around being lazy bums after lunch.
the boys went back to 2a.
shennen looked through cleo too.

so cool!
the chocolate wax sounds nice eh.

oh ya.
then, because tomorrow (which is today) is father's day, and that we all haven't bought any present yet, (ok really bad grammar sorry), um, koko wanted to sell me and my sis this samsung phone for $20 as a father's day gift for dad.
haha i can write it here because i don't think he will read it! :D
she bought the phone for him because it has 2 sim card holders so you can put the malaysia and singapore sim cards and use them simultaneously at the same time - good for him cuz he always goes to malaysia for business trips.
so she sold it..
i was feeling super broke (u know all about my nets and my wallet only had $15) so i didn't want to spend even though i had some money.. dun wanna feel broke mah, so i asked my sis to pay first.
hahaha.
then it was quite funny and we laughed a bit. u dun get it but nvm.

then koko lent us wrapping materials to wrap the present very nicely! :D
it was very pretty.
we used zebra wrapper from ikea (never knew ikea sold those!) to wrap the present; my sister wrapped it.
then i took that flower like ribbon, a pretty white one, to embellish and adorn the gift.
and i sticked on some silver and gold curly things for more decoration too.
haha, i thought it looked kinda weird but all of them said it was quite nice so i guess it's ok!
oh, now i can think of just this wrapping of present as a ren sheng da dao li.
i'm turning so preachy!
haha.

oh anyway..
it was getting quite late, 3 something, so we decided, a bit reluctant (me), to get going back to 2a and shennen to go home because she had tuition later, to do our homework.
cuz actually it was supposed to be some sort of a 'homework party'.
um, warn u first, these sort of things never work.
we didn't do an ounce of hw at all! (my sis and aerin, i still managed a bit of my maths tutor)
see! i'm so guai and determined and motivated! :D
what you waiting for, come and encourage me now!
heheh, let me be ego for a while ok! ;D

anyway, we went to aerin's room right.
it was freaking hot at first even after she had switched on the air con.
her desk was pretty squishy for 3 of us to squeeze in to do our hw, so i went to her bed to do :D
then she and my sis were playing 2 players skywire on miniclip lor!
and making so much noise some more! ;)
aerin was hysterical.
lol.
i did my math assignment book (cos i didn't feel like doing that ton of ws; all so tough and i was feeling lazy so i decided to do easy peasy dun have to use your brain so much kinda stuff like linear equations on my mathematics tutor ;)).
yup! hahaha.
listened to my ipod.
listened to when you look me in the eyes, one of the earlier songs i listened to (because i hardly got to listen to very many songs! tell u why later), and it got pretty much stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
i hardly got to listen much to my ipod yesterday because,
MY IPOD HANGED AND GOT STUCK! AND I COULD'T MOVE IT AT ALL!
i tried scrolling up and down on the circle thing but it didn't budge!
i pressed all the buttons it also didn't move a single bit!
i was so pissed and sad and scared, scared that it might never work ever again and it wouldn't be able to be repaired or if they could repair it all my 612 songs would be erased and i would have to spend a long time putting them all back or i might even not be able to put them all back because they got dumb erased from my com the last time i brought it in to add a RAM and i haven't recovered them yet.
so i was kind of in a bad-ish mood for a while.
called my mum overseas to rant about it and ask her what i could do.
hmm.
then my sis told me to tell her about the suprise father's day gift thing and not to tell my dad..
then i told her to wait and eventually forgot to tell her about it.
then she got super pissed off after that.
and she reminded me how expensive oversea calls were.
and i was like, the call is more expensive meh?
coz i totally forgot.
then aerin was laughing like siao again.
she went a bit, you know, yesterday.
haha. :D

she was like, where has all your knowledge gone to, amanda?
oh yeah then i was so sad and went on ranting abt my poor poor ipod.
then aerin took out her long abandoned ipod nano ver. 1.
which was completely flat, no suprise since she hadn't charged it/ used it for quite a few months, maybe even a year.
her ipod's silicon case was also broken and stuck to the ipod.
rofl.
then she asked me how to on it.
i said, it has no battery at all so u have to charge it first.
so she went to take the usb connecter to charge it via her com but i told her it would take ages if she did so.
asked her if she had a charger and she had but couldn't find it.
so went around the house looking for it.
she even went to her parents' room to take out a suitcase which was locked, to try to see if it was inside.
haha she's so cute. (:

in the end we went to ryan's room and it was there!
she was super pissed with him after that lah, cos she went around everywhere finding and it was in his room.
lol.
then she charged her ipod.
then she also asked liza to go to pick up koko's cool red ver. 2 nano for her.
haha the red ipod is so nice! :D
she took turns charging hers and koko's ipods.
haha then the ipod charge a little while got taken out of the charger then had too little bat so funny.
nvm if u dun get it again.
oh then aerin took out koko's thick silicon case and stuffed her ipod into it.
and she managed to!!!
it was a bit stuck and fat for the case, you see.
the case got super stretched.
ahaha. lmao.
it was funny again.
(yesterday a lot of hilarious incidents and funny laughing)

then we went outside to watch tv.
shared earphones with aerin to listen to her ipod.
watched a taped episode of america's next top model and ate meiji crackers with cream cheese.
i like meiji crackers! haha.

then after the show finished we went back to her room.
i completely didn't have any mood to do hw, and felt the urge to go shopping.
we did seriously contemplate on going shopping, but it was pretty unrealistic and all so we didn't go in the end.
there was late night shopping though!
anyway i was broke so i couldn't buy anything if i went also anw, lah.
ahaha.
then we were very bored for the longest time ever.
dunno what we did also.
just lazed around whiling our time away.

then it was close to dinner time already!
actually it WAS 7.53 but dinner wasn't ready yet.
since they were on the com, playing games again, and i was sitting there doing nothing and being bored, i decided to call koko to see if we could go down as it was quite late already.
called, hon sean picked up and said koko was in the midst of cooking.
so we waited for a while before going down.
i saw aerin's black eye makeup so i took the tiniest bit and applied on my eye.
see how bored i was lol.

then they played 23094813 'last rounds' of skywire.
coz each 'last round' was not counted.
ahaha.
then when we were all finally ready to leave, aerin wanted to put eye shadow.
so we got distracted again.
lol.

then we were FINALLY DONE and walked down to 17.
ate another 'very simple meal' and then stayed for a while then went back to 2a again.
oh ya we did the body wave and other weird stuff while walking down and walking up.
i can't do the body wave lor!
i am so stiff when i come to doing it. lol.
grrrrrr.

during dinner talked about stuff and made jokes.
maybe i shouldn't say here lah.
nvm it will stay etched in our minds. ;)

then after dinner back at 2a me and aerin played with make-up and my sis used the com.
then it was 10 something and 11 something very fast so we went back at 11.30.
koko drove us home.

went to flop myself on my bed cuz i was exhausted.
all i wanted to do was to sleep.
ahh, sweet sweet sleep.

then came to this morning slept quite late and felt super happy! as mentioned above.
ahaha.

today was a super slack day wasting time and doing nothing productive at all.

oh ya, this morning my messenger and internet explorer and safari couldn't work at all!
only mozilla firefox did.
so i couldn't post this morning, cuz i only want to use ie to post my blog posts.

TWO PEOPLE MISTOOK ME FOR THE SAME PERSON, VICTORIA (TING?), TODAY!

ahaha.
the first time, i was standing at the foyer my back facing the entrance, when a teacher thought i was victoria and asked 'victoria' to go to ASC I.
i was a bit blur at that time so i didn't hear what he said but my cca mates did..
then they were laughing..
cuz i'm NOT victoria.
apparently victoria is this sec four swimmer in our school.. i think.. according to my senior..

the second time was at the canteen.
it was our 20 minute break when i hopped down to the canteen to grab some bites with my batchmates.
then when i was walking this girl from red cross i think and whom i don't know, said "victoria.."
then she took a closer look at me and realised i wasn't victoria.
hahaha, rofl.
thing is, i don't know how victoria looks like! ;)

short summary of angklung,
we went up shortly after to the angklung room, then to the pe dept.
played some songs.
i left at11.30 for mendaki! :D

then righttt.
this time i took the bus to the mrt station.
didn't need to walk so much, thank goodness! (:
but waited damn long for 190 to come lor.. arnd 15 minutes?
haha but anyway i was so glad cuz i dun like walking.
well it depends, but yeah..
took from orchard to city hall and changed line to bedok again!
omg this time it seemed so fast! as in the train ride! :D
haha cool.
it seemed SOOO much longer though it was prolly the same amt of time, yesterday! haha.

wheeee!
then arrived bedok mrt at 12.25 pm, 20 minutes early! see! i told u i would be early! :D
haha.
waited patiently for the rest to come.
then they came one by one.
then we took bus to mendaki.
zomg, i realised that the bus stops i went to yesterday were totally the wrong bus stops!
ahaha.
i didn't even exit the right place, i think.
lmao.

anyway, mendaki is quite ulu to walk to and i don't think i will ever figure how to walk by myself if not for my friends. haha ;)
went mendaki and did stuff.
oh yeah i didn't eat lunch!
so went to buy a pack of cheezels.
the rest also bought snacks to munch on..

haha dun feel like elaborating on mendaki!
lazy lar, ahaha.
anyway, we left at 4.30 pm.
all went back to the mrt.
i just followed the rest..
so i wasn't lost!
heh u guys are so cool! :D

anyway, we took this coooool double decker bus to bedok mrt.
we sat at the top!
cool ah! aren't you jealous. XD
sat next to ling zhi..
just chatted randomly la.
oh yeah we were talking about how slack p6 was! it was srsly like, the slackest everrr.
hahaha, my most enjoyable year of primary school! :D damn fun..

oh then we all took the same train..
me, sher and vera alighted at city hall.
then took the train to dhoby gaut (sher alighted there), i took 2 more stops to orchard.
said bye to vera and left.
haha, then coz i didn't feel like going home right away, i mean who does? XD
i walked out of the mrt and saw the bus stop opposite and wisma just in front.
so decided to go walk walk see see lor. :D
ahaha.

omg.
walked at the edge of the road next to the construction area of orchard ion..
it was not that pleasant a place to walk along, but ohwell.
went wisma and the first thing i saw (after ripcurl) was topshop!
haha it looked quite inviting, i think they had new stuff.
spent hours there!
okay, maybe like, 2 plus hours.
i know it's damn long.
i felt kinda awkward coz i was in my school uniform too. heheh.

anyway, in the end (at 7 plus) i finally paid up.
i bought a cute sailorette top, ankle length leggings and denim shorts which i've been wanting to get since forever.
hoped my nets had enough money to let the bill be approved..
i thought it should be approved.
my nets got denied so she asked me to pay by cash and nets.
good idea :D
i happened to have 50 dollars exactly with me, so i paid that and the rest with nets.
this time it was approved! :D (heng!!!!!)
haha.
zomg i sooo NEED to top up my nets asap, it had only like what, less than $152? and now i bet it has less than 50 bucks. -.-
very important for such emergency situations like today okay.
oh, and i'm a topshop member now! :D
spent $152 and you need to spend $150 in a single receipt in order to become a member! so cool right i anyhow pick then just happened to fit the criteria just right :D

hahaa, so i was completely broke after paying up.
totally empty wallet except for a few coins which amount to less than a dollar.
wow, it was getting late so i decided to leave, extremely happy with my purchase. (:
walked out of wisma and was feeling lazy.
wanted to cab back home.
then i remembered i had $0 left so.. there was only one option: bus.
haha well nvm lar.

crossed the road to the bus stop and waited for 190.
it came relatively fast, to my elatement (is there such a word btw?) :D
two stops back to rgs and then walked back.
oh yeah i had a miss call from home so called my maid..
she wanted to meet me to walk me back so told her can go rgs in the end saw her opposite the road so i crossed the first road and met her there and we crossed the smaller second road and walked back together.
wheeeeee i was damn enthu abt blogging today lar! :D

oh i think i wanted to say other stuff.
oh now i remember! :DD
ahahah how awesome!
my mum said i can claim money from her when she gets back! yay! :D
on the condition that i do my math revision.
wheeeee! :D
i realised i'm a shopaholic today.

i simply love, ADORE shopping.
hehe.
well, depends if i have the mood also lar.
but i love looking at lovely clothes! :D
haha it's fun!

Mendaki and An Adventure

OMG.
i totally need to blog.
:DDDD

ok, i've lost the interest now but ever since the start of it all, up till when i was in the car back from mendaki, i couldn't wait to blog.

haha okay, here goes..

as i had to go for mendaki (CIP) today, i left the house at 12.0something for Bedok mrt.
then just as i was walking out of the estate, i remembered i had forgotten to bring my plants drawing block thing that i had drawn last night (part of the lesson for the kids supposedly) as well as my umbrella (the sky looked as if it might rain).
so i went back to get it (more time wasted).
so i've no idea what time it was when i finally left the house..
maybe 12.1something?

anyway, i wasn't sure who else other than Grace was going today, (mind my blur-ness!) and i didn't have Grace's number in my phone. -.-
i tried to find out who was going today by checking my email (that was before i left the house) but to no avail.
anyway i thought i'd survive so i just left after being frustrated not able to find the email saying who else was coming today.

wrong thinking.

now you might start going :/ ?!

here's the real story:

okay, we were supposed to meet at Bedok mrt's control station, so i had to first of all take an mrt to bedok.
walked to bus stop opp. RGS then saw 105 quite fast so i took it.
got off one stop later at far east plaza.
then walked ALL THE WAY to orchard mrt.
it was quite a long walk; crossed roads, walked a long way from the underpass up till the mrt itself (took quite long okay).
well, it seemed like a long dist. to walk.
oh ya i forgot to tell u i was listening to iPod.
i seldom listen outside coz
1) i don't take public transport that often
2) don't u find that on the bus/ train or on the road, it is very noisy? and you can't hear the music properly, you must cup your ears to block off the noise before you can hear.

well anyway.
i finally reached orchard mrt and figured by myself how to go to bedok! :D
yay me; i had to take to city hall from orchard, then change to the green line and take all the way (quite a number of stops) to bedok.
so that's what i did..
i only could sit for like, one stop, after ppl got off at Dhoby Gaut (sp?), the stop before city hall. (i think)
then the green line journey was very long and i had to keep standing.
okay even worse, it was long.
i was halfway there and checked my phone: 12.46 pm, uh i guess i'll be late, hope they will wait and be there!, as we were supposed to meet there at 12.45 pm.
blame me for my inexperience. (my first time going to mendaki and taking to bedok!)

okay then the worse part came.
i got off at bedok mrt, not very sure where to go so i guessed i should go out of the waiting for train place and followed the exit sign down the steps (or was it escalator?)
anyway, i checked my phone and saw 4 missed calls and 1 message from this number, not sure it whoms it was of.
anyway, i decided to call to find out where they were (coz e number must be one of my sl group member's mah..)
then called and recognised the voice.. it was yin xin's.
she told me they were not at mendaki yet; that they were at the bus stop (the message read: sry if you're going to mendaki but it's late so we're leaving first) and she said to meet them at the bus stop.
so i asked her how to get to the bus stop then she told me to go down the escalator and then.
i suddenly couldn't hear anything.
so i said, hello?
then checked my phone to realise that it was out of battery and went flat just like that!
ok that happened MANY times already. especially at the times i needed it most! my life was DEPENDANT on it.
argh! D:

so anyway, i decided i'll go to the bus stops to try and find them.
oh apparently they thought i was kidnapped or something, when my phone died and they suddenly couldn't hear me; i found out when i met them at mendaki later.
so i went to the bus stop just outside the mrt station, the small one, but couldn't see them there.
then i saw this big bus interchange just opposite so i thought maybe they were there (i recalled in the email vera sent previously that we were supposed to take bus 31 to some lagoona place and then take to somewhere else thereafter. omgz confusing.)
walked over to the bus interchange. my, it was huge.
and i was kind of lost.
sooooo, i walked about all the different-places-where-you-queue-to-take-the-bus-with-railings but couldn't find them ):
so i was like, shit, how?
they'd most probably have gone off for all i know.
*panicks*
will i be stranded in this alien, unfamiliar place for the next few hours? or will i not be able to make it for medaki today?
super drama-tized.
but it was freaking scary ok, you, being stranded alone, without any phone to contact ppl, (luckily i still had money with me), at a place that you've never been to before and with a place to rush to asap.

so anyway i was kind of panicking; i was suprised that i didn't cry! :D
which is kind of a good thing.
haha i'm calm and strong B)
okok i'm jk.
the only thing that i could think of that might work, (heck, that was the only thing i could do) was to call my parents for help and advice.
but i needed to find a public phone first.
okay, i did consider borrowing from a total stranger (hopefully they'd lend me since i was in my school uniform and all and wouldn't be some youngster trying to cheat their phone and run away with it), but i thought it'd be kind of strange so scratched the thought.
it's better to depend on yourself right! :D

so i went to this provision shop kind of kiosk in the middle of nowhere in the bus interchange, asked the two aunties manning the shop and they said hou mian (behind) and pointed vigorously to the wall.
i walked along her instructions but couldn't really find the phone, so went back shortly after asking her, "is it behind nearer to the entrance" in chinese.
then she, a tad frustrated, pointed to the wall and said, "it's behind, told you already, its behind the wall" in mandarin.
i guess all aunties are like that lar.
so i thanked her and went to behind the wall and found it.

omg i tell u first i wasted so much money on public phones today!
i had coins with me (luckily (:) so i slotted in a 20 cent coin into the machine at first.
the phone seemed a bit oily and dirty (dirty was imagined by me but after all dunno how many millions of ppl have used it before right..) anyway i bet it's dirty lor.
oh anyway however disgusting that phone seemed, i put it beside my ear (no choice who ask me never check my phone have battery or not) and listened.
then after that when i was really talking to someone i had no choice but to really put it at my ear and listen properly..
and kind of make myself forget abt how dirty that phone could be.
anyway i'm kind of ranting and not telling you what happened.
i put in 20 cents into the machine and dialled my mum's number.
no one picked up -.-
so there was another 10 cents worth left so i called again, or maybe called my dad's number. again no one picked up. so it was wasted.
tried dialling both their numbers again with another 20 cents but it was in vain.
so i decided to call home, even though i didn't know how my maid or sister would be of much help.
i was desperate anyway, didn't have much of an option.
so i put in a 20 cent coin (my last 20 cent coin at that) and dialled my home number.
btw those 3 numbers are about the only numbers that i can memorise, other than my own number and 2a's number.
oh ya and i couldn't call the mendaki girls as their numbers (okay, yin xin's number) was in my phone and my phone was flat!
k back to the point, i called home and my maid picked up; the voice was quite soft so i had to cover my other ear (hoping it would enable me to hear more clearly) and cover my nose and mouth (i had no idea how it would help but i just did it).. it kind of worked actually, i could hear somewhat of a voice.
i asked to talk to my sister.
then told her the sorrowful plight i was in ):
i was so sad and scared.
poor me.

then she, suprising me, was fairly calm and logical and helpful, abt helpful she didn't have much abilities to help but at least she made and effort; i would have been too uncalm to think about what was the best to do.
k lar, most of the time she is more calm and can-think-in-a-logical-and-practical-what-we-should-do-sense than me.
anyway, she helped me check on the internet how to get to mendaki.
apparently, there were two medakis - wisma mendaki and another yaya (??? :O) mendaki or something like that.
she didn't know which one it was, so did i.
i told her it was the malay one.
(i found out it was the wisma one later)
oh and she told me how to get to the yaya one.
cuz she thought that was the correct one, instead.
a bit of a disaster.

oh anyway the 20 cents used up so the phone was beeping so i rummaged in my wallet which was in my bag, for another coin but all my small coins were used up and i only had (wow, suprising! :D) 3 or 4 one dollar coins so i just dumped it into the coin slot.
at least i had unlimited (or a very long time) to talk and that felt safer.
so she told me to take either bus 16 or 14 (bus 16 was cheaper) to some chiangkat?? place (i couldn't hear wth that place was called and had to have her repeat 3 times until i was nvm) and then walk to mendaki after alighting.
i was a bit *stare blankly mouth agape* kind of a face but decided to give it a try.
after all, what else could i do?

wasted $1.40/ $1.60 at the first phone booth then. esp on calls that were never picked up -.-

so i combed the area, humongous, trying to find the metal railing waiting place that had bus service 16.
at first i saw the wall painted 16 but saw that bus 16 didn't go there so i walked elsewhere in search.
then finally after like forever i saw this blue, circular sign saying 16 and bukit merah.
but being unsure whether bus 16 really stopped there, i asked this auntie whether bus 16 would come here or not.
then she was fairly helpful lar, she said it would.
so i hopped onto the metal railing and waited.

waited for quite long leh.
oh then there was this girl in school uniform, a white blouse tucked into a green skirt (at first i mistook for rjc but i saw the school badge and realised it was not RJ) and asked her for the time (as i suspected i was running late).
heng it was only early one something; the lesson was supposed to start at two although we were supposed to meet earlier and it was quite late larh paiseh but at least it wasn't 2 yet.
saw bus 16 parked there but the driver was out..
then after that another bus 16 came and ppl got off and i saw this girl in rg pe attire (not relavent) but still gave me a sense of familiarity and reassurance ya la doesn't make sense coz she walked away, probably going home and i don't even know her. um then i thought, can i go up the bus, i better go now lest the bus gets driven away.
um so i was like a bit awkward, not knowing if i should walk to the bus or not, a bit blur, eyebrows furrowed, taking steps upforth and back, ppl staring.
then this uncle (with dentures sticking out quite gross) nodded, signalling that the bus was here and i could get on.
btw he was pointing at the stationary bus without the driver, but he was right..
i didn't get him at first coz i'm not used to all these stuff and i'm a little blur (actually can't blame me oso lar).
then another auntie said that the bus was here and i could get on. (i realise this post is getting extremely detailed)
i saw the bus driver getting on the bus and ppl swarming up the bus..
so i just followed the crowd, knowing that i was getting on bus 16.

the girl in uniform and the boy in earphones who was waiting there as well and the auntie who talked to me and the old uncle with dentures sticking out weirdly and others all got onto the bus too..
i sat down feeling a bit on tenderhooks.
i didn't know what would be my future, where the bus'd exactly lead me to, where i was going and what would happen later.
the bus started (moving) and not long after that i went up to the front and asked the uncle if this bus was going to mendaki.
he stared at me saying he didn't know what mendaki was.
omg i'm having deja vu now, half related to that matter.
then i was nvm, do you know any place called chiangkat or of some sort?
he again couldn't hear what i was saying properly! super pissing that blur bus driver dun even know anything about singapore how to be bus driver!
RAWR. *scowls*
then he repeated my "chiangkat" into "chiangee" or something, i seriously can't remember what was the chiang-something my sister told me, it could even not have been chiangkat, nor can i remember how the bus driver pronounced that chiang-something wrongly.
anyway, he didn't know what the hell i was talking about so i was nvm again.
then i sat at the seat in front.
then i went back to my original seat.
the girl in the uniform was sitting behind me, so i asked her where this bus was going, since the stupid bus driver didn't know a thing and i had difficulty communicating with him.

ummmmmm. oh ya then she said it was going to orchard and some other places. bukit merah maybe?
um so i was like oic..
then got off at a random bus stop where i saw it had bus 31 coming to the bus stop.
then i remembered vera's email again, it also said take bus 31 to some lagoona place!
so i thought since i'd get lost taking that bus-that-i-didn't-know-where-it'd-lead-me, i might as well get off earlier to prevent getting lost any more than i was already.
haha, so i got off.
and waited for bus 31 to come.
oh, that place was super ulu, it was right smack in the middle of the road (of course at the side not the middle), but it was still ulu and the only building nearby was an industrial-looking factory opposite.
then bus 31 DID NOT come, well at least not yet, but this bus 196 was approaching and it looked quite professional and new (it was double decker too!)
haha.
i looked at the board at the bus stop (the one that tells us what buses stop at the bus stop as well as where they go) and realised that bus 196 also went to laguna view, and lagoona park, the two lagoona things that i suspected might be of some help.
so i boarded the bus.
okay, this time the bus driver was very blur as well, i asked him if the bus would stop at lagoona park/ club and he did not know wth those were as well. why all the bus drivers like that?
oh he didn't know mendaki too.
i don't think he knows anything at all.

anyway i was nvm, i shall see for myself. then went and asked these two girls where this bus would go to. (i've been asking so many strangers things today!)
one of them told me it goes to parkway, suntec, etc.
i asked them, do you know where's mendaki?
but i guess mendaki is kind of ulu and a place which normal ppl would not know of..
so she didn't know too.
well i was thanks.

the bus DID stop by laguna view and lagoona park, but both of them were condos -.-
and they didn't look the least bit like someplace near mendaki.
i wouldn't know how to walk to mendaki from there, anyway.
so there i was, stuck on a bus, without a useable phone, without knowledge of anything/directions and running late (even more late) to a place that i was searching for.
i was, um. scared.
i was on the verge of breaking down.
okay, maybe i wasn't (told you i didn't cry already!) but i was kind of trying to feel sorry for myself.
sad fate. (just for that moment, tt hour or two)
okay, then i was sitting at one edge of the bus and the seat was vibrating cos the engine was just underneath.
oh then these quite irritating 4 boys from a neighbourhood secondary school (i'm not discriminating against neighbourhood schools hor) were talking about how their average grades were F9s.
um okay but who am i to say that since they have every right to speak anything they like.

oh then there was this uncle sitting one seat away from me.
not that it matters, i'm just listing the details that i saw just now.
oh then i asked the uncle did the bus go to parkway and how long it would take.
so he said four to five stops at the time i asked him.
so when the bus was arriving parkway, the uncle informed me..
he told me "that building in front was parkway" and told me to get off at the upcoming stop.
so i was a little blur but was all okay. lol.

i decided to go to parkway as it was the only place where there'd probably be food/ a phone to call ppl/ PEOPLE (less ulu).
and when i say ppl i mean all sorts of ppl (esp NORMAL ppl thank goodness (:)
not some weird hooligans/ uncles and aunties who i can't really communicate to due to language barriers or just because they dun understand what i'm saying.
um and at least i'm more familiar with parkway than with a bus that i dunno where it leads to.

yay! parkway! :DDDDDDDDDDDD <333333333 for once.
i entered through the steps to the shopping centre.. the place where there is fish & co. and all.

i almost thought i wouldn't be coming for mendaki today and would have to make up on another day.
cuz it was quite late already. AFTER THE LOOOONG JOURNEY I'VE BEEN THROUGH.
haha so i was kind of relieved..
oh and you know, cos the area around parkway is where my relatives live, i felt a sense of safety and dependant-ness. you know..
like you can be safe. ke kao.
my cousins, aunty live there and another aunty of mine works at that area.
so i have many arenas to seek help from! :D
although all their numbers are in my phone so kind of useless.. -.-

anyway, i walked around parkway, glad to be in a decent air-conditioned place with nice shops, and it being not such an ulu place as all the places i had just been to.

understanding the fact that i shouldn't torture myself very well, i decided to buy myself a bread from breadtalk since it smelled pretty good and also since i hadn't eaten lunch, but only my late breakfast of noodles.
i ate as i walked, looking at what places there were and if their was a public phone which i could call from to seek help.
i bit my gum twice while eating! ):

walking on, i saw the sign with a toilet, phone and another icon on it.
gleeful, i walked on and found the public phones! :D
oh and i wasted more money.
i had forty cents change from the bread, and a few more twenty cents i don't know from where so i used twenty cents first.
called mum.
thought that she might pick up this time, but NO.
called again with the remaining ten cents and SHE DIDN'T PICK UP AGAIN.
humph and pffttt.
put in another 20 cents and called her office.
oops, first time dialled the wrong number, two numbers reversed.
hehe, remembered wrongly.
got told by singtel that that number is not in use. :P
then suddenly the RIGHT number struck me this time. right after i got the message from singtel.
but i think that twenty cents somehow got used up.
then i had 2 more twenty cent coins left.
tried slotting in both but they kept falling into the refunding coin slot, not being able to dial.
kept taking them out and trying again, but didn't manage to get it in.
so i took out a one dollar coin, not caring less, i just NEEDED TO CALL MANZXZX.
i dun mind wasting money if i could get out of the sticky situation i was in.
called the right number this time and thank goodness my mum picked up. (called her office number)
she didn't answer her phone cuz they were eating lunch.
anyway told her the mess i was in and what exactly happened to me and that i took many buses and got lost and i was sad ):
and asked her what to do?
she said she'll come over and pick me up.
and asked if i still wanted to go to mendaki.
i asked her what time it was.
she said 2.06.
so i said okay lor, since better late than never!
haha.

wow, that was quick and easy. just a word from her and i was saved! :D
i felt so happy.
a wave of relief surged through my body.
i felt liberated! :D

oh yeah, she told me to wait for her at the taxi stand..
i didn't know where it was so had to find out..

i saw scoopz near the phone booth, same level, just opposite.. realleh super near hahah.
even after eating the bun (wasn't veh filling) i wasn't full, so i felt like muckin around and buying an ice-cream for fun.
and cuz scoopz also reminded me of when me and my cuzzies went to buy the last couple of times. haha.
it had a feeling of familiarity..
i dun feel it now (forgot my feelings then!) but i rmb that was how i felt just now.
oh yeah so just for the sake of it i decided to buy scoopz, even though i'm not crazy over scoopz.
i asked to try vanilla, it was so-so, didn't really have much taste.
so i asked to try peach since it looked rather refreshing and different.
it tasted better than the vanilla so i decided on peach.
i was craving for the aromatic cone too!
paid up and took the chance to ask the girl where the taxi stand was.
turned out it was just outside and next to the bookshop which was next to scoopz.
means very near.
i walked out to the air-conditioned section; the taxi stand being just outside.
i think i bought the ice-cream partly to occupy myself while waiting as well.
ahaha.
i finished the ice-cream in a while, it wasn't that fast but i finished it before my mum arrived.
i found a blue strand of yarn in the ice-cream. then i used the tissue to dig that part out.
was just feeling relieved when not long later, i found another blue strand of yarn in the cone ITSELF. obviously i broke off that part. so much for handmade ice-cream.

waited for quite long, until i wasn't sure if my mum knew the way.
as in, to the taxi stand.
seeking reassurance, i went to the phone booth to call again.
tried putting in the 20 cents that didn't work at first but worked the second time after that.
called mum but the call was diverted.

then i decided to go back out to the waiting place.
just nice, saw my mum!
hahaha.
so i quickly made my way to her car.

i've thought:
mum is always there for me, no matter what, to pull me out of sticky situations.
sometimes i take her for granted and am even mean to her.
i should reflect and be nicer. (:
well i think i'm improving at the moment;

she called my sis for the address, then checked the street directory to find out how to go.
then off we were to mendaki!
i was about an hour late haha.
phew! end of the rocky journey. :D

i wasn't expecting much of mendaki, and was feeling very paiseh for losing my way and being wayyy late. like an hour late.
ok but the journey seemed way longer than that.
it was abt 2 hours in actual fact, possibly seemed like three?
haha so i was a bit apprehensive when approaching the centre..
got dropped off at the lobby, then went in and the lady told me the thing i was volunteering for was inside, in the hall or whatever that room was called.
haha.
then i took off my shoes (the rules) and entered the room.
okay i peeped through the glass door before entering first, to make sure i was in the right room.
haha then once i stepped in my friends were like: Amanda! :D
then they introduced me to the kids.
haha.
i stood there a bit frozen not knowing what to do.
then i put down my bag and went to join them.

the kids and everyone were all very friendly! :D
haha.
i heard from my other group members that mendaki WAS fun, but i didn't know if i'd share the same sentiments.
it is actually very fun! esp when i first entered.
being around with the little kids who are super enthu is great! :D
haha.

by the time i got there, they had already finished the lesson and teaching the kids about plants.
so we played games for the rest of the day.
first game that they were half way through was pass the ten cent coin.
it was quite fun!
then we went for outdoor activities..
played police and thief which was somewhat like catching.
running about with them was fun! they really made me feel like a big jie jie.
haha i can't believe i couldn't catch the children!
..well, i guess i was too tired/ can't balance for some reason to run super fast on the grass to catch them.
but the others could! ah i feel so useless XD

after police and thief we played crocodile.
the goalpost was the crocodile's territory.
so we had to say: crocodile crocodile, may we cross your golden bridge?
then the crocodile would reply: no.
then we said: what colour do you want?
then the crocodile would pick a colour, and the ppl with anything of that colour worn on their body would be spared, allowing them to cross without the crocodile catching them.
the kids who crossed without being caught were given yupi gummies.

then after that the boys wanted to play soccer but the girls didn't, so half of us played with the boys, half went back into the air-con with the girls.
kay yi, yin xin and grace played with the boys while li ting, sown and I went to accompany the girls.
at first they all were running about doing their own things.
then i asked them what they wanted to do but they all wanted to do different things..
so i played a treasure hunt with one of the kids and then the rest wanted to play too.
haha so i played many rounds of treasure hunt with them.. it became our main staple of activity we carried out while waiting for the boys and all to return and gather.
we gave out candy as the prize to whoever who found the treasure each round.

the boys finally returned, happy from their game.
i heard kay yi ran a lot. haha.
we gathered together and had the Q&A session.
we asked them questions on plants (what we had taught them previously) and if they answered right, they would be awarded a sweet.
it was the only time my drawing block came to use. (it was meant for the lesson but i missed the lesson)
the kids were fairly enthu.

after the Q&A, it was time for them to leave..
so they slowly left and we packed up the place till 4.30.
the lady in charge gave us some feedback..
tomorrow i'll be going again and the topic is light (my proposal!)
hmm hopefully they have more hands on and more activities which are educational yet fun so they won't feel bored.
i don't know if i should plan the lesson and bring all the stuff!
i guess i will try to do some prep for tomorrow, later! :D

borrowed grace's phone and called mum, she was at the carpark so i walked there to meet her and bade goodbye to the rest.
it was a pretty fun day! :D
whee, a nice way to get cip hours! :D
quite fun!

drove home and i almost blogged straight after i got home and on-ed my com.
haha this post took ages to post lor.
it's ten pm now and i just finished posting!
of course with breaks and intervals in btwn, like dinner + tv break! ahaha.

as we grow up, we gain more experience and thus become wiser.
don't try to be someone else, be your own self, and be it to the best.
if you try to be someone else that you are not, you will only find yourself failing and being miserable. so why not be your own self and see yourself shine as you strive to improve and be a better person in all aspects? (:
one might view this (not just this but applies to everything else) as crap that doesn't make much sense and has no significance, but that is only because you haven't truly understood the gist of such statements. i've been through it all, now i finally understand some things my parents have been trying to tell me which i thought of as unimportant and let it go by just like wind along my ears. (dang cheng er bian feng haha) when you come to the realisation and finally truly understand; somewhat a sudden realisation, an epiphany, you'll zi ran er ran (naturally) understand by yourself. It's a great feeling, really. I finally understand what it means for: "i won't give anything up for it". (:
