Learning Journeys II

This time I will try to elaborate in intricate detail. Haha.

Tuesday

Tuesday was a free day for us; there were plans for going out with classmates/ batchmates at first, but in the end both got cancelled. Haha well nevermind since I still went out for lunch (with Jolynn and Edith) :))

We went to PS (as usual), and ate Ajisen.

The chicken wings there are not bad. Haha! I was having good appetite that day! :D This place is the 5th good-chicken-wings place I've been to recently across the span of the last few months (cuz it's not a habit of mine to eat chicken wings everyday); the others are namely Parkway, dimsum place at square2, wisma and.. uh I forgot the last place. But I know there was one.

Haha it was pretty fun. It's been a while since we last went out to eat together; the last time was like when? dec? yea. So that was good. We went shopping after lunch as well. First shopped at PS. Edith bought her long grey cardigan from COTTON ON. And then I bought Yami yogurt, peach with peach slices, :DYUMMY:) and then we took a bus to far east cuz someone suddenly thought of going to far east to see if they had any nice and cheap dresses and we were all itching to shop.

Far east was a totallll disappointment! The stock looks like what I would have seen a couple of months back, albeit the fact I have not been to far east to shop for quite some time. Haha I think I'm turning into a brand whore, since now i scoff at the low quality clothes priced at riduculously high prices (but the good quality ones are priced at even higher prices). Ohwell I shall go search far east again someday. Because I'm in desperate need of a few new nice dresses. And I have a budget (Charm Loh and I were talking about this ytd, more on that later)! My budget's around.. $30 for a dress? But it depends on the design and quality and whatever.. whether it's worth it.

So, during prac on Tuesday, Jolynn and I were analysing what clothes we needed to buy.. and we also were hoping for someone to sponsor our shopping sprees. Nyway this is my list:
-a funky vest
-high waisted skirt
-printed leggings (still considering this one)
-a couple of casual dresses
-shoes! Haha heels! And maybe flats, if I see any cute ones. And since I won't be bothered wearing uncomfortable heels all the time.
-a small handbag (remember the one I saw and lurrvveee-d last time? The one at River Island? And was sold out? (Omg why am I writing in novel style. I must have been reading too many books) Anyway yes it was sold out (past season) and I'll be taking my time to find another one I love just as much. No hurry. Besides, I'd already bought another bag (fairly expensive.. ok, medium) the other day)

Yup that's all! I think! I just need new stuff to fill my new (and still empty, ahem) wardrobe with, because as aforementioned in earlier posts, I do not find excitement or interest in dressing in almost every piece of clothing in my wardrobe now. How sad, because I think it's wonderful when you feel a sense of satisfaction with something nice to put on.. (:

Okay moving on. Prac was uhhh, okay! Haha I bought wintermelon tea and wang wang round crackers (which was already soggy D: it's called lou feng i think) and pack of tapioca chips from the first stall since it was like the only stall open in the canteen that day..
Uh and Jolynn bought some orange drink which she loved. Like, a lot. Yeah anyway we aren't really supposed ot eat but they were quite nice that day and turned a blind eye or however the expression is used.. Haha and everybody wanted the chips too! :D

Haha. I am so influencial. I influenced 2 people to buy the same packet of chips during the next break we had haha.

Mm prac was slack too, we just did techniques and voted for which song to play since we were all stoned pretty much

Anyway, after prac we went to the room and it was so nice having the wholeee room to yourself :D

Edith was playing her xiao niang re on the piano; she plays awesome music and is wonderfully talented in playing the song just from memory :O Like she can figure out which notes to play w/o a score. Impressive?

I was prancing around happily. HAHAHA. It was a nice feeling; so serene, having the room to yourself on a dim Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't stuffy either =)

We decided to go running around my estate. So after Edith finally was willing to leave the piano, we took our bags and walked home. My place...
We put down our bags, plugged our earphones on, and went down to jog..
Jogged four rounds.
Which totals to >2.4 km I'm guessing?

Haha then Edith kind of got lost. Haha. Was so worried; I had thought she'd fainted or sth. But she didn't (duh) When we saw her we were quite relieved I think. Ahaha. So funny la
;) lol.

By the end of four rounds we ended up looking fairly screwed.
Haha. I look horrible right after exercising. Running esp..
Mmm. Went up and had Orangina, mercis and lotte mochis (except I didn't eat mochi).
I love mochis anyway.

Sat there, facing the balcony view and chatted till about early 7 plus when they decided it was time to go back. So I took the lift down and they left.

Wednesday

Solar farm at SP; I have photos for this one. Now altogether, shout yay for pictures at my blog finally! :)

The solar farm was 1. boring. 2. sort of fun at certain times..
The first part we got to do some filtration activity with empty bottles, sand, pebbles and co2
It was quite okay. At least there was air-con! The talk was boring.

Next the lecture ah.. I guess you could tell how interesting it was by the look on everyone's faces and the fact that a few people were sleeping. (I have photos of Magdalene and Yixian sleeping to prove this point! :)) Okay I admit, I slept for a while also.. until someone jabbed me to wake me up and then after that I was super energetic somehow. Power nap maybe.

Uhm the solar panels at the balcony were hot like shit! I mean, the sun. I was whining about how I needed my shades.. It was so hot my poor skin felt sore..
Haha and everyone was complaining and trying to hide below the solar panel structure thingoz ahahahha :)

We queued to get into the (extremely stuffy) room place where I was begging God to just LET ME OUT. Cuz I neither wanted to be out in the sun nor did I want to remain in that cramped little shack. And I needed to go to the loo. Magdalene and Emily and a couple of others as well.

Haha you know what I just finished my math tuition and I feel quite intellectual. Okay maybe not really. Cuz it's mathematical stuff where calculations are involved and they make my head spin. Confused. Haha but whatever. I think I will be more hardworking and practice math some day when I am done blogging and am not so tired (I'm VERY VERY tired now) and re-do all the math ws until I am sick of it.

Back to Wednesday we finally got to go toilet after walking 1000000 miles and then we returned to school after that! Yay! And then after that.. I think I went home. I can't rmb already.

Did a bit of my sewing for FC and watched tv and watched BOF now I think I'm sorta hooked.
HAHA. Emily and Yixian were fangirling over Jun Pyo and the other guy whose name I forgot, today. Mhm. Ran another 4 rounds around my esatate and felt like sleeping whilst running. I figured I was really tired and needed to sleep. Oh and I bathed after running, ate spaghetti for dinner and then went off to learning lab. Was slightly late. Got lost in Paris, coz the mirrors are so confusing just like a maze. I was wondering how I was supposed to enter (cuz I saw the five flags but surrounding me were mirrors) and some kid sitting around told me to 'just push the door'. So I found my way in the end. We did speeches! Quite slack and fun. Haha. Clarisse was having the chuckles (what Charm calls it) yesterday. And it was quite so funny. The speeches were funny la. I did wild child.. When we had our break we went down to macs and cold storage, where I bought my choco krispies and cheese muffin. Clarisse's hot chocolate from mc cafe was so tempting la, I was pratically drooling over it but it's such a rip off; $3.90 for a tiny cup.

After learning lab I went home, surfed the com and fell asleep into sweet slumber. Or maybe not, since these few days I've been awaking to a sore body. Like bad sleeping position?

sidetrack: Yum yum I'm eating cakes now. There's tiramisu and some awesomest ever awfully delicious strawberry cream cake. Everything about it is nice, from the cream to the crumbs to the sponge to the strawberries and the custard. Every sinful calorie is worth it.

Today

I shall announce I've cycled 5km on the osim stationary bike! Which is, um, quite a feat. K nt really. But then I cycled for 13 ++ minutes non-stop. Lol. But I don't think I burned a lot lor.. Just enough to make up for my cakes I've been indulging in? I feel so guilty. But so pleasurebly guilty. Oh God, Shangrila does the best cakes (strawberry! :D).

Okok, for learning journeys we had..
Chemistry survery at 8.15 in the morning. Walao the questions were repeated time and again. gt Bored of doing after a while. Oh ahah watched the documentary. It was fun commenting and complaining about how boring it was. HAHAAHA. I'm easily entertained. I got to catch some delicious luxury sleep throughout the doc. Not. It was rather cramped.

After the Chinese movie screening (the doc) had finally ended, went out with Mag for lunch (again) because Geena, E and Y were busy with pb/ band respectively.. We went to PS food court.. didn't realise it was renovated till today. Ate th Indonesian BBQ rice and fish set. As usual. After lunch we hardly got to walk around then went back to school alr.

The Lower pierce reservoir outing was at first, boring, then after that pretty fun. When we first arrived it was super hot and got sweaty and all it sucked. But after a while when the sun went down and we got to sit and all, it was much better. And Geena's fan lol.. Mr Ang apparently thinks it costs 1 million dollars; so NOT, so do not bother stealing her fan. Uhm yea took pictures of some plants and stuff. And we saw monkeys! Of whom Geena, we found out today, is very afraid of, just as she is with cats. And uh that's about it. I made comments which made ppl think I was dumb -.-

THAT'S THE END OF LEARNING JOURNEY WEEK :) Basically it was fun, but I think it went by in a flash, felt pretty surreal and last year's was better. Kukup totally FTW la. <333

After lower pierce, went home, cycled, ate, math/ chem tuition (2h), back to com + cakes. Short and sweet, yayz!

This one's pretty interesting

Friday I went out with Edith and Charmaine Loh after our math lesson. We met at City Hall MRT and walked to Marina Square. Gosh, it's soooo troublesome walking from City Hall all the way through citylink to Marina. Haha yea I'm lazy la. Ohwell. We ate at the cafe cartel (haha we had some experiences ahem) and to my disappointment, I didn't really like the food again. I ordered spaghetti. I swear I won't eat cafe cartel again since the food so totally does not fit th price. I don't mind paying but I expect quality okay.

Anyway after lunch we went to para para. Haha it was quite fun. We played a bit then this girl hogged both machines so we went to GV to see if they had any shows but they didn't have Hotel For Dogs so we went bowling.. Only Edith and I bowled. After one set (whatever you call it) of 10 games (10 i think???) we decided to leave and we met Charmaine to para para again. Haha para-ed damn long la! Until my eyes were tired and I got a headache from staring at the bright, flashy screen.. We also saw the softballers there and they were screaming like crazy.

After many, many, many games we finally went home. Met my family who was at Bugis; took train there and bought J.Co's supposedly 100% fat free yogurt thingy but it was so rich and creamy I was convinced it was 100% fat free - not. But I still finished it up nonetheless. (Dun like to waste food you see! :D)

Took damn long to bake it la.. but also coz I did other stuff whilst waiting for it to cool too.
