Hey, shall post a short one today.
Because I've got loads of hw to do.
Which I'm completely in no mood to do now. At all, totally.
The list of boring stuff I've to do:
-Study for Bio SPA on Friday
-Overdue Chinese summary (which I absolutely hate. Eww...)


-Learning Lab hw (damn freaking a LOT. It kind of accumulated over the weeks)
-History FA (I've got to read like 90 pgs worth of notes before I'll be able to do it.)


SUCKY right? It's SOOOO absolutely understandable why I am dreading every single one of them. It isn't even fun hw like easy math assignments. Oh wait now that reminds me to add Math Assignment 1 to the list. GREAT..


Anyway, today was Angklung's SYF. We were all completely psyched about it. And we did really well. Everyone moved to the music, flashed the whitest possible smiles we could and got ourselves into the mood. It was a truly enjoyable 10 minutes, performing under the giant lights amongst the audience. And I had fun playing, especially th second song.


Everybody had said that we performed well, it was asthetically pleasing, and they could see we gave our very best. We were rather confident we might just have clinched that Gold With
Honours... Madam Nisa (sp?) and some of our angklunger's relatives said we did well!


But then the judges are so totally warped in their judgement. They don't know how to judge how well a school has the ability to perform, rather, they go for looks of resplendance and awe. The bigger, the better. They like.
Therefore we did not get gwh, instead we ended up with a Gold, which is not too bad, since only 1 school got gwh and only three, including us, got Gold. We were rather disappointed nevertheless.


So, now for the sequence of events.


After our performance, we proceeded to the waiting area outside the theatre to eat chicken rice with fried chicken. Which was soggy by then. It wasn't very good, but still edible. I was very hungry so I wolfed everything down and still felt hungry after that. Borrowed money from a sec 1 to buy Iced Lemon Tea. Felt so poor la. Cuz we didn't bring our wallets. So it was like we were down to our last handful of coins and we could only afford the cheapest drink available haha


Then we hurried to finish our drink because it was time to go in to watch the other schools perform. Jolynn and I commented on the other schools' performaces as if we were professionals. Haha. Then after about 4 schools we had to leave.


In the morning, my alarm clock beeped at 5.15am, the time I'd set it to last night, but I turned it off and went back to sleep -- for an hour or so. So I was kind of rushing everything in the morning.. my make-up and all.


We reported to the needlework room where everyone was busy putting their make-up on and stuff. Was quite high for a while. Haha. Walked around the school a little bit. People were staring at us. Mrs Abbas said my eyemake-up wasss nice! :D


Back to school, we did retarded stuff at the back of the bus like sing childish songs like Barbie/ Barney and ask 'intellectual' questions.

No, Germany (you doofus!)


And the occasional, "gosh they are so bimb!"


Haha no lor. And we asked lots of questions we didn't know the answers to like how many species of whales are there and how long is Rapunzel's hair (5km) and how old Queen Elizabeth is.


That was pretty fun/ny.
And then we went back to school, everyone changed, I didn't because I'd forgotten to bring my school badge/ nametag/ hairties and clips in my frantic rush in the morning. Eventually I decided to go all the way home (under the sun in my costume), get the required knick-knacks and then go back to school. By the time I got back everyone was leaving the needlework room because other people needed to use it for other purposes. So I quickly got changed and off we went.


Went to Manhatten to eat. It's becoming sort of like our batch lunch place. Shared a plate of Seafood pasta with Jolynn because we weren't very hungy. The pasta sucked, the fish was delicious and the prawns not really that great. And we all placed our phones in one row in the middle of the table, waiting for the results to come in by SMS at 3 pm. We even changed the setting to the loudest possible, song ringtones. And we got so paranoid every time one of us received an sms - but not from the ak-ers. Haha. That happened sooo many times! Haha. In the end, nobody smsed us. (rawwwwwwwwwrr.) Instead, Averill got a call from Shi Ting who told her our results: Gold. And then she handed me the phone when I was told that only one school - Siglap Secondary got GWH. IT WAS DAMN DISSAPOINTING!! We were left shaken, disappointed, and empty. It was truly upsetting.

We were chanting, "Gold with Honours!" all the way from the bus stop to Plaza Sing! And we were talking about how we deserved Gold with double Honours and how they'd specially make a new award to fit our deserving playing and how we'd stick masking tape saying, "I got GWH and I'm from RGAK" on our pinafores tomorrow and go about walking in school. And that we'd make our batch hoodie shiny, shimmering gold and emboss our marvellous achievement above. We also screamed at the top of our lungs, "RGS Angklung Gold with Honours" as we were walking out of the school gate, which attracted a few stares. Now it was all gone.


No matter how good 'Only one school got GWH and only three got Gold' sounds, it still wasn't enough. Because we'd settle for honours and nothing less; anything less is disappointing. And as for the school who got GWH, no comments shall be made here.
LOL!


Newayez. I've gotta bathe and get ready to go for tuition now so I shall continue this post later! My parents are returning home from Hong Kong tonight! (:

Hey I'm back! My parents are back from Hong Kong! Had Learning Lab then they all came to pick me up. Haha how honoured. I'm kiddin'. They bought clothes for us, and it's always so exciting to see the goodies! Hahaha. I like Hong Kong and it's atmostphere! Okay, maybe not. I'm feeling dizzy and tired now thus explaining the incoherence and inability to think and express my ideas clearly. Whateverzxzxz..

I love my new clothes they'd brought back, but they were rather expensive! Especially the dress.. which was pricey. Oh well. Shall do a quick sum up of SYF. (This post wasn't as short as I had intended!)

Basically, we complained a lot, went back to school, and went home. Haha. Done. Okay. I'm very tired now you see. And I still haven't completed any of the above hw. Which sucks. I'm gonna get into trouble with the teachers tmr. But I'm too tired to care at this moment..
